25th & California

This picture is on heavy cardboard. Found it in a tote full of my Grandma's pictures. She grew up in Nebraska City, and moved to Omaha in the 20's. The back of the picture is labeled "25th & California St, about 1884". That would be about 6 years after Creighton was founded. I have no idea which direction this is facing.

Dang that is cool! That almost has to be facing either west or north right? If it was south or east there would be some of the old downtown landmarks in the background I would assume.

Heck I wouldn't be surprised if Creighton's brick walkway was directly on that roadway's path.

Nice picture. My guess is that it is facing west from downtown.
