Here are a few pics from the 2004 Butternut fire....
At the time, it was really hard to believe it was happening, after months of anticipation of the renovation into the "Nines". Unfortunately, the fire sprinkler system was deactivated at the time. The brick shell stood for several months afterward, but it was not feasible to rebuild the internal Heavy Timber structure.
