It's obvious that the spot is in Iowa, but I don't cross the river much...so I have no clue where the exact location is. I'm guessing it's a park and with that view it is probably a popular spot.

no, it is the Lincoln Monument. You can see the north grain elevator.

I've easily been up there 3 dozen times trying to shoot the skyline, but I think I have come away empty handed every time. I don't have a single photo on my website from there. I'm not sure if its bad luck or what, but I just can't get anything good from Fairmount.
