Taken at the BNSF yard a couple of weeks ago in Ravenna. Two rows, each extending a little under a half mile in length.

Re: 2017 Railroad Photos
Thanks for posting! With the new baby, I haven't been trackside nearly as much this year!
BNSF and UP both have a lot of locomotives in storage. BN Is storing quite a few along the riverfront in Omaha and UP has been storing locomotives in both Council Bluffs and Missouri Valley.
That first locomotive seems to be in fairly decent shape considering that paint scheme ended around 2005 when BNSF added the swoosh logo. Usually they are faded like the locomotive behind it. Those green locomotives date back to BN days before the merger about 1993-1995. They called that paint scheme the "Executive Paint Scheme", and railfans call it "Grinstein green" and refer to those locomotives as "execumacs" (A combination of Executive Paint Scheme and "MAC" (M - Wide Nose, AC - Alternating Current Traction Motors)).
