Great Shots Josh.  I thought about adding a little color to my B&W kind of like the swing bridge photos.

another thing josh.  Most peoples attempts at B&W don't "POP"... yours pop, you have all 10 steps!  Way to go Ansel....

Great shots, guys. I especially like the shadows of the windmill on the barn.

I was kind of being a smart@$$ there. :)

A purist would say that there are 11 zones with Zone 0 (a Roman numeral 0, yeah, right) as total absolute shadow of a black cat in a coal bin on a moonless night black. There are many variations and interpretations on the zone system.

I will say that you did a very good job on the B&W. I assume you converted from digital in PS or something. Most people totally blow out the highlights and smash the shadows when they try this.

The ones of the barn, for example, show very good tonality.

Or, you can just buy a camera that shoots in B&W mode, without having to go to the trouble of PS. :;):

Yes, I adjust the saturation to 0 in photoshop.

My camera shoots B&W, but sometimes I look at the color photo, turn it to B&W and decide the color was better so I turn it back.
