Happy holidaze downtown

Post by w8ing »

I went downtown with a Flickr friend last night and got some shots in Gene Leahy Mall and on Howard Street.  They were shooting for that new movie Lovely, Still on Howard St. I took a couple shots then a fella came and told me it was a closed set.  Mmmkay... businesses were still open and the sidewalk wasn't closed. Not like I'm getting a paparazzi shots with my D40 :) and I wasn't using the flash. But I'm a cooperative sort so I moved along.

Despite the plunging temps I still don't know if I'd be bold enough to walk out on the frozen water and make those.

I would rather do it on that lake that is only 3 or 4 feet deep as opposed to Zornski or something!

These are sweet! The 1st, 2nd, and 10th are my favorites.

Thanks, all.  I'm glad to be delving more into the potential of having a d-SLR!
