December 1 -- Moon and Planets Photos?
Anyone? Â It's a pretty impressive image, but my poor little camera doesn't seem capable of really capturing all three of them brightly enough to do it justice. Â Any of you expert photogs getting a good shot of it? Â Please?
Thanks! Â :)
Thanks! Â :)
It was great tonight, but by the time I was free to take photos, it was gone. Â Hopefully something similar will present itself again 12/2

Pulled up their positions at the time I took these photos. To the left side is (G)anymede... to the right, (C)allisto. You can even detect the 'bulge' on the left side which is comprised of (E)uropa and (I)o (you'll need to rotate the diagram above clockwise about 45 degrees to line up with the orientation in the photo).
FYI... the two objects to the 2 o'clock position from Venus are stars.
Shoot for the Moon... if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
The stuff I posted a while back was through a 120mm (aperature) f/5 refractor.
I took a few photos of Comet Holmes a year ago (which I believe I also posted here) through my 10" f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Â Long exposure through a 2500mm focal length telescope takes considerably more time/patience!

We are stuck in the clouds here in Omaha. Â Thought about it if it were clear...Coyote wrote:Anyone going to take photos of the Moon and Jupiter tonight?
