Too lazy too look for the thread, because I'm living on Obama money:

MESA, Ariz. (AP) — Chicago Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts has been busy in the 16 months since his family took control of the legendary team that hasn’t won the World Series since 1908.

Under his leadership, the Cubs have searched for new revenue streams, sought state funding

Tom Ricketts is a d-dag, no doubt about that. If you have some free time, just go ahead and look into his donation background. I'm sure you'll love it.

Not sure I'd go so far as to say d-bag.  Definitely a hypocrite, though.  Asking for $200 million in state bonds to renovate your stadium after you spent a billion on the team is no different than complaining about welfare while getting a home mortgage subsidized and writing off the interest on a kitchen remodel.  Just a |expletive| load more digits.

He's essentially a banker. He's going to pull numbers out of his |expletive| all day long until he can position himself with as little risk as possible. Because of that, he is forced to be a hypocrite.

He's a douch* because he supported Palin and Father Time to the tune of 75,000 dollars.

Why did Omaha spend so much money building a stadium?  The local and state governments have a financial incentive to make sure the Cubs do as successful as possible.  Do you really blame him for trying to capitalize on that.  Not saying I agree with him, but I can't blame him either.

I looked up the term mixed emotions and I found this definition. " A Chicago Cubs fan that's a democrat that has to thank the Ricketts family for giving them a winning team."

Taken from Tom Becka's Facebook page.. Thought it was funny

Drive home on Friday is going to be a pain in the |expletive|.

Westside will get out 30 minutes early... then it will probably go to Christ the King for that Sports Club Banquet...

My advice, get there early. We went last year to Hy Vee when the Royals brought the trophy. Got there early and the place was still packed. Got lucky walking in because a Chasers ticket holder saw me with my boys and gave us "fast pass" tickets. The one advantage for the lines (but disadvantage for the convenience factor) is the time of this. Many people will have to take off work which might hold down the crowds.

Yes, it was never announced that the trophy was going there, but anyone can put two and two together....
