Looking forward to them, Skinzfan.

Creighton had 5 assists last night while they are averaging 19/20 this season per game. We were also bricking some open 3s that we usually make. I'm surprised that it was as close as it was at the end.

Regardless, this doesn't hurt that much as long as we take care of business the rest of the season. I don't think any other team on the schedule has the ability to slow us down like UNI does.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best, just got a new camera and adjusting to it.  It was a great atmosphere to be at, just wish Creighton could have pulled it out.

Not sure what you are asking, but UNI has played there for the past 5-6 years, prior to that they played in the UNI-dome.  It was the first time UNI had beaten a ranked opponent in the McLeod Center though.

By the way Creighton is still ranked #15 and #17 after the loss.

Now this is the McDermott I used to know...  I'm torn as I really wanted them to do well and get a high seed and THEN |expletive| out.  Road wins can be tough though so maybe they will still close strong.

I believe that at one point CU was 1 for 11 at three pointers for a team that led the nation.

Should be another big crowd for Creighton on Saturday vs. Wichita St.  (whiteout)  The reserved tickets are already sold out and they will be selling standing-room only tickets on Saturday.

Jays rely on Big E to counter big rival

http://www.omaha.com/article/20120209/B ... -big-rival
Creighton is counting on Gregory Echenique to slow down a player on a rampage when the Bluejays face Wichita State on Saturday.

Shockers center Garrett Stutz has averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds in the past five games. Overall, the 7-foot Stutz leads Wichita State with averages of 14.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
Actual Big E says "|expletive| you, Creighton.  Pay taxes."

Shocker joke.
Stable genius.

Not yet. CU is still a 6 seed in the latest bracket released today, amazingly.

CU won on the road at S. Illinois 88-69 (which isn't as tough as it used to be) but the Bluejays were on fire and made a MVC record 77.5% (31-40) of their shots.  This is the highest % in college basketball this year and the 20th highest all-time in college basketball.

Lets hope that is the official end to their shooting slump.

It might just be that S.Illinois has given up and isn't even trying on defense. SIU's previous game they played Indiana State who shot 12-12 3pt and 64% from the floor. Meaning that over the last 2 games teams went 56-79 FG and 24-26 3pts!

Very big win indeed for Creighton. A lot of college basketball "experts" were saying that if CU lost tonight - they would have been squarely on the bubble, and perhaps off of it as well (out of the tourney). Thankfully the boys came back, and what a shot by Antoine Young! As long as the Jays take care of business, and win  their next three games (at home vs. E-ville, at ISU-blue, and at least one win at Arch Madness), they should not have to sweat out Selection Sunday.

Wow what a big win for Creighton.  The game winner was the #2 play of the day on sportscenter.  I was watching the game on tv with some friends and think that they were very impressed with the arena and with the crowd.  It looked great to see on tv.  The C-Link looked like it was rocking tonight.

Wow, Creighton gives up an arena record 43 points to Colt Ryan and is down by 14 at one point in the second half and for the second game in a row hits a game winner with under 25 sec left.  CU wins 93-92 in OT.  Improves to 24-5 in front of 16,447 to bring the season total for attendance to 266,632 for an average of 16,665!

BTW ESPN's latest "Bracketology" has them as a 7 seed.  They could sure use a strong run at Arch Madness to get off that tough matchup.

Creighton ranked again.

Apparently this will be the first time there will be two ranked teams in the Valley tournament for nearly 30 years.
