I didn't even notice that they are only playing CU twice.  I have a feeling that is b/c CU has plenty of OOC opponents willing to make the trip to Omaha.

The schedule as it is shown on Huskers.com has Nebraska and CU playing  three times.  This is what I had seen posted elsewhere too.

0-2 for the season so far.

0-3 now with game 2 and 3 both being lost with a lead going into the 9th and a rally in the 9th by Gonzaga.

Lot of season ahead but a bumpy start.

I'm guessing they'll finish 4th in the B10 and its going to be a rough season...

Great weekend for the team!  There is a really good opportunity to enter the Cal series at least 8-4 on the year.

Home opener today against Kansas State.  First pitch at 2:05.  Weather in the 70's on March 6 is too much to pass up.  Leaving work at noon and taking in my first baseball game of the season this afternoon!!!!

Pretty cool to sit down in my seat at Haymarket and see six tower cranes spread across downtown Lincoln from Memorial stadium to the new arena and seems like everywhere in between

Some of what I saw at the game today.

4100+ people came out to the game today in Lincoln on March 6.  Hit about 70 deg too.

Here is a quick and dirty pano of what the stadium looked like at the end of the first inning.

Yes,  Deff. brighter, larger and HD.  Guess it was installed last week.  Underused for today but I can see it having BIG potential.  Old video portion was still 4X5 Ration too.

Nebugeater...I would have been in your pano Haymarket shot, in section 110, just beyond 1st base with all my old/new K-State "friends", but I was stuck in concession stand line for almost the first two innings.  (First game at TDA Park last year was the same... huge lines)  Wanted to sit them out, but what's the ballpark experience like without ballpark food, especially on opening day?  Also, couldn't pass up the promise of  a March game with temps in the 70's (!), but in our prairie city ballpark with wind gusts of 15 to 20 mph (my guess) blowing in from outfield, the wind chill must have been in the low 50's.  That still didn't stop Kiser (Husker, for those that don't know) from hitting the 2 run HR over center-field fence!  Al-in-all, a great first home game.

No way they could have anticipated that big of a crowd for an afternoon weekday game.  Temps obviously were a huge factor but either way 5k was awesome.

Love to see the new scoreboard, looks great.  TO has done such a great job on facilities.

It is amazing how much construction is going on in downtown Lincoln now.  Nice to see.

If NU keeps winning, there could be a couple huge crowds at McStadium for the NU/CU games.  I'm planning on going to both.

Wow, NU just destroyed La Tech in the 2nd game of the series.  Been awhile since we hung more than 20 on a division 1 team, especially one from the deep south.

11-4 win for game 3 against La Tech.  Was there today and they are playing with much more of a killer attitude than the last couple of years.   La Tech it not the strongest in their pitching but they are above the fold IMO.  To win 3 and have a chance of 4 of 4 tomorrow is a great run.  Building some decent wins and it is going to take everything with the Big 10 RPI.  Ill to open Big 10 play in Lincoln next weekend.

If starting pitching continues to develop NU could be very dangerous.  We have some kids that can tear the cover off the ball.  Good thing is...we are a pretty darn young team.  Future looks bright!

Tough to get lower than losing a series to Northwestern.
