Not sure if that says more about me or the rest of the Big Ten.
Don't really blame you, things looked pretty bad after that game.  Big 10 is down, but not as much as people are saying.

I think it just says that a very mediocre team has figured out how to win games in a very mediocre  conference.

How was the Iowa crowd? Are they a little less belligerent than some of the other B1G schools? I imagine the cold kept things a bit less hostile, too...

Everthing I saw or experienced was fine with the exception of getting yelled at with a whole string do adjectives as we got out of the car at the Hotel Thur evening ( and, no it was not my driving ). The cold did da,pen things I am sure but the fact tht they were  in the game the entire time had to offset it a bit I would think.  We were not too far from the student esection and they were in the game and having fun. Plenty of Huskers around but everything I saw was good natured. Same goes for the tale gating.

The winter gear hid a lot of Husker fans iMO. Lot of black Husker winter gear that blended in.  There was at least a 25% Husker croud and probably more realistic at 1/3.

Did have to laugh a bit at the PA announcement that was right before the game was to get started. They reminded folks to stay off the field of play, smoking policy, and a long dissertation about sportsmanship and treating their visiting fans as they would want to be treated when they traveled. Don't know why but I found it funny.

I have been a fan at Iowa games befor where if I was a fan of the team playing it was Iowa but I didn't really have a lot investe.  It has been 10+ years when I lived in Cedar Rapids and things may have changed but I never really saw any bad experiences in the Games I attended over my years in CR.

Back in the 70s & 80s the only problem we had was snowballs thrown at us by coors-upped Colorado fans & general mouthiness of Missouri fans.  Oklahoma fans greeted us like family.  KState was like a home game with more red than purple.  Iowa State sometimes got hostile if NU beat ISU by a lot.

Nowadays NU really doesnt show up on a lot of radar.  Michigan & Ohio State are vicious about each other.  I put a Husker magnet on the van when I drive to Columbus with Michigan plates....otherwise if I am going more than a mile over the speed limit I get a ticket.  Indiana is a blast.  Havent been to Illinois or Northwestern games.  Penn State is just wierd.  That's going to take a few years.

If you get the chance to go to Ann Arbor, East Lansing or Columbus you'll have a lot of fun seeing the towns.  Lots to do & great food & bars.  Real B1G atmosphere.

the whole team needs to fake an injury and put a wrap on this season. Another beating at the hands of an SEC team is the last thing this program needs for recruiting.

I feel bad for the seniors. The end of this season is shaping up to be a rough one.

Being reported many places now.  To me, that one comes out of left field.

Pittsburgh coach Paul Chryst, a former offensive coordinator at Wisconsin under Bielema, could be a leading candidate to come back – a development that would truly be disastrous for the Panthers, who already have had three head coaches in the past three seasons.
Take that Pederson!

Wisconsin came out and said they are not going after Chryst.  Alvarez lobbied for him to get the job, not going to bring him back after a year.

Another 10-4 season.  A very fun one, but hopefully they can take the next step to the BCS next season.  This game today was great for 3 quarters, but Nebraska couldn't muster anything on offense or defense in the 4th.
