2012 College Baseball Homerun Derby

Post by iamjacobm »

Should be a bigger "event" than last year.

Homerun derby, fireworks and Cowboy Mouth will preform at TD on July 3rd.

I had friends that got free tickets last year.  They thought it needed something more.  They loved the fireworks thought.  I have no idea what a Cowboy Mouth is.

Does anyone know where they shoot the fireworks off from for the show at TD Ameritrade ?  Would one be able to see the show from the Soma area?

If not attending the home run derby, can anyone recommend a great spot for watching the TD Ameritrade fireworks?

Not from personal experience, but HOA Park could be a good spot, across the ped bridge would probably be good as well.

Someone also started a thread for this in the Photo Section.

They are being launched from Lot D.  You should be able to see them from about anywhere in North Downtown, to the Ped Bridge, Over in Playland Park, Gallup, Ricks, River Front Drive, Etc.  Last year I even watched them from the east stairs at Central High.
