Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Miles was commenting in that article on the conversation he was having with the Omaha prospect, isn't that an NCAA violation?
Stable genius.

This part seems to answer that:

NCAA rules allow coaches to confirm whether they're recruiting a specific player, but they're prohibited from discussing the prospect any further with the media.

Still, the longer he's on the phone, it becomes clear that Miles is speaking with someone competing in the same Kansas City tournament Miles attended a night earlier.

Nebrasketball has never gotten this much pub.  Miles definitely knows how the play the media side of things, can't wait to see what he does on the court.

Could be a rough couple years, especially the first, but I think it takes off after that.  The donors and athletic department have definitely made a huge commitment to the team, plus the new arena with the city of Lincoln.

Going to be a rough first year that's for sure.  Although I think everyone expected that.  I like them redshirting Biggs as this year is a wash.  But with the transfers Miles has brought in and the potential first class he could sign....2014 would be a very young team but an exciting team to watch.  Opening up the arena we could see new players such as Pitchford, Biggs, Petteway, Fuller, Hawkins......and possibly Agau and Webster.  That's an exciting group and a group of talent that we haven't seen in Lincoln in quite some time.

Great that UNO and UNL are playing today.  This is going to be a rough year for NU but the future looks bright.  Hopefully we can get to 10 wins this year.

I think we'll get ten.  We already stole one from a decent Valpo team.

Ten might be about the best we can do.  This team will run out of steam too with no depth on tope of bare cupboards.

I was there.  They deffinantly were not inspiared to start the game.  They decided to play in the second half.  They do not have enouhg this year to overlook anyone and it will be  a rough year and only time will tell if we are on the right track.

As for Almeida, he played the best I have ever seen out of him.  Like what coach Miles said in post game too about him.  In a nut shell need to get rid of the past assumption where he is a 5 - 7 point guy.  He can be more and needs to take it inside.

I wish Almeida could have committed and lost some weight.  He's so big right now he draws fouls when he's just standing there.  Hopefully he will be able to keep up when B1G play starts.  Btw, thanks for the pics.

Nebraska 4-0.  Tough 5 game stretch now though, if they can steal two of these I will gladly take that.

Just came home from the game.  Long ways to go for Miles but I have to say he has these guys playing better than I thoughtvthe6 would after 7 games.

They beat Texas, but this was their 4th loss on the season and will probably lose their next two.

It was their fourth loss but unlike this one the other three were to top 20 teams.

Was at the Husker game tonight hosting Penn St. Nice to win but tough game to watch with no chance for game flow to take place.  If memory serves me there were a combined 49 fouls called and 73 combined attempts frm the line.

Good win for Nebraska and should help Creighton out a bit since they beat Nebraska earlier in the year.
