Granted this was on the MVC Network - but they said if CU wins tomorrow they could be a 4 seed (in KC). Sounds too high for me, maybe a 6, 7?

I was totally feeling 6/7 seed... not going to complain about a 4 though. :)

Just checked ESPN, they are a 9 seed vs 8 Missouri, winner taking on Kansas (Who is trailing Baylor right now)

Just stay out of the 8/9 seed.

Hated how CU tried to burn the last 3 mins and not run real offense!  Still a great win, one of the all time great seasons in program history.

Great win.  Hopefully they have a shot at a #6 seed after that game.  Great to see the even though McDermott struggled, we had many others on the team step up and play a great game.  Good news for the NCAA tournament.

Nice to see a hard fought win! I was worried that there was going to be a fluke three to tie it up there, since WSU was making some odd shots for a while.

Meanwhile, I still think we get screwed and get an 8 or 9 seed.

So proud of the Jays today! Loved seeing everyone contribute and take the pressure off Mcdermott. Here's hoping for a 6/7 seed!

I don't care if Creighton gets a 15 seed, I just want to see them actually make a decent run in the tourny for the first time in school history.

I am still hoping for a 6/7 seed as well.  Basically that means you are in the top 24-28 teams in the country, and that is definitely what the Jays are, but after our great 28-5 regular season record last year we still didn't get a good seed and had to play N. Carolina in the second round.  It would be great to see us at least make the second (or third round as they call it with the new format) this season.  Hopefully they can make it even further.

Meanwhile, in Ann Arbor, the sloppiest basketball game I've ever seen. I would definitely like Creighton's high percentage shooting game against these guys.

What a great game today!  Congratulations Creighton!

I'm guessing 8/9.  Lunardi is as good a guesser as anyone.  I dont see anyway that changes upward clear to 6.  Cu is not in the top 25 ish IMO.

No he's not. He gets inside info and changes his bracket the morning of selection sunday to reflect that. I still remember one of the years Missouri state got screwed; he had them in every bracket until the last one, then changed it without any explanation or readily apparent reason.

His seedings are also among the least accurate of the major prognosticators. Most get almost the entire field (90%+) right within +/- 1spot. He's usually lucky to get 80% in that range.

Creighton probably still gets stuck with an 8, but that doesn't make lunardi any less of a hack.

I'm thinking between a 6-7.

Jays are back in the top 25 today and have some momentum going into the tourney.

WSU was a 5 last year and lost the conference tourney so I think sweeping the Valley will help the Jays here.

AP  = 23
USA = 24
RPI = 25
SI.com wrote:The recovery, along with pair of title belts, will hopefully help Creighton get treated better in seeding than they were last year, when they were given a really surprising 8-seed and were taken out in the Round of 32 by 1-seed North Carolina. This is a better version of that team, and with seeding more in the 5- or 6-seed range, they have a chance to make the second weekend.

Are all the other CU teams going to the Big East also?  I haven't read what is going on with volleyball, baseball, soccer, etc.

Yes and it will be a major upgrade for every sport except baseball.

Either the magic of song and dance, or through modern engineering.

My guess would be the second one. There was a story a while back with the Head of MECA, who's name I forget, that said more suites were possible. The demand may be there now. May.

Probably Roger Dixon.

Well, it wasn't supposed to be streets like condecension, but rather sarcastic humor. Whoops, my bad there!

Guess I missed that there was more expasion, at least that that is reasonable, possible.  That all had been done when they added the seating that went in after a few years

I did too, but with that story a while back saying they could add more boxes, i guess they can. Maybe behind those metal colored walls at the top, or the bud zone area? I'll leave the math magicians and engineers to figure it out, I sure as heck can't.

Found it! It took a while, but it's the OWH's Shatel talking about how if OKC could get a team, why couldn't we...blah blah blah.

Here:  http://www.omaha.com/article/20120610/N ... an-t-omaha

And the quote:
First, our facilities. The CenturyLink Center seats 17,272 for hoops, about 1,000 less than the Chesapeake Energy Arena in OKC (18,203). MECA President Roger Dixon said CLC would be on the “small side” but would work in the NBA or NHL. Omaha might have to add to the 32 suites, but could, Dixon said.

Here are a few pics from my weekend in St. Louis. Not all by far, but a few. Also at the end is a youtube clip I shot of the crowd as the Jays were being introduced. Felt a LOT like a home game. The rest of the photos are at http://www.whiteandbluereview.com

Before every game there was a send-off at the team hotel. Hundreds if not a couple thousand were packed into the lobby.
