Great pics...I really wish I could have made it down to St. Louis this year.  I have never gone, but this year would have been a great year to go.  Amazing site to see in the hotel send off.  That is awesome.

Cincinnati plays incredible defense, and supposedly rebounds.

That doesn't bode well for Creighton.

I don't think they make it out of the first (well "second") round this year at all.

So proud of the Jays! Looked a little scary towards the end with some BS calls but they pulled it off. Should  be fun watching the Duke matchup to see how we stack against a national powerhouse! :D

Good win for the Jays today.  Now on to a big matchup vs Duke.  If Creighton wins, first Sweet 16 birth, if they lose, they still have the exciting news of heading to the Big East next year.  Lets hope it is a win though...it would definitely be the biggest win in program history to date.  There is a free viewing party for the Creighton/Duke game at Marcus Midtown Cinema on Sunday.

“What a week,” said CU’s president, the Rev. Timothy Lannon, as he bounded out of the victorious locker room. “The Pope is a Jesuit, we’re in the Big East and we’re playing Duke.”

Its says a lot for Creighton when could they could still pull that game out of their |expletive| after so many turnovers. Duke will score in transition 9 times out of 10 with on those, though. Better handle the ball better.

Huge, huge game tonight. I honestly don't think we will win this one, but I do hope Creighton at least keeps it close.

I have Duke in my bracket but it would not surprise me one bit if Creighton plays their game and they give Duke a beat down. Creighton is on fire with shooting right now just need to limit mistakes turnovers/not rebounding. Heres hoping for the Jays!

Well, you get 'rough' when the offense sits around waiting on 1 player to win the game. I figured they'd at least make a game of it, but I didn't expect this.

The three Duke made at the halftime buzzer really seemed to kill Creighton.  Overall they played great defense, but just couldn't get any shots to fall.

Another great season by the Jays.  I think a lot of fans have taken the past two seasons for granted, but very impressive record of 57-15 during that span.

Echenique goes 6/7 FG and 6/8 FT for 18 pts against USA, with 7 Reb and 1 BLK.
He is listed at 260, but he has to be pushing 300.

The other day Dirk from the OWH did a story in the OWH and mentioned all the athletes with local ties in the Olympics, and even went as far as calling Michael Phelps our "adopted son", but never once mentioned Echenique. The OWH did put out an edited story later in the day mentioning him.

That night, Ross Jernstrom did a similar story, also failed to mention Echenique.
