I love seeing Omaha on tv. There's some empty seats, but it looks like a good turnout (as opposed to Columbus right now).

There seems to be a lot of people here for the games. Traffic was crazy on I-80 driving home today. It was backing up just east of 680 and I didn't see any accidents. And most seemed to be heading to 480.

Unfortunately some of the team allotments are in good camera view so you see it on TV.

Good news on that. I imagine the KU vs WSU game is going to top that pretty easily too.

Downtown was packed today with fans today, I talked to multiple people that said Omaha was surprisingly awesome.

We got it so good this year. Local teams Kansas, Wichita State and even Okie State. Plus Dana Altman, and player of the year Frank the Tank from our new home in the Big 10. Worked out so well. Really wish CU and Wichita State still played each other.

Jayhawks go down. Looked and sounded like a great crowd.

So cool to hear Marv Albert say "So long from Omaha". Growing up, I remember always hearing him do all the NBA tv games. I can only imagine the amount of exposure Omaha is going to get for the Sweet 16 in a few years.

From the Centurylink's facebook page:
Total Attendance of 52,654! Thanks to all the fans and teams who visited @centurylinkoma this weekend! ‪#‎MarchMadness‬
17,551 average between the 3 sessions.

From Shatel's article today:
Omaha ranked third (52,654) in attendance for the first three rounds, behind Louisville (64,684) and Columbus (55,116).
» The convention center continues to be a difference-maker for Omaha. I ran into an official from the Des Moines area last weekend and asked him about next year’s NCAA first- and second-round tourney in Des Moines. He said the locals can’t wait, but he added their building “isn’t like this, with all of this room.” Another official from a visiting school had the perfect description for the CenturyLink Center: “It’s like one big dome, with an arena inside.”

Also of note is that Louisville's arena is, I believe, a whopping 22,000 capacity. The Nationwide Arena in Columbus is 19,500.
