Midtown Crossing wrote:Omaha, Neb. – Midtown Crossing will offer basketball fans the convenience of a free game day shuttle during the second and third rounds of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament on March 20 and 22.
Service to CenturyLink Center Omaha will begin 60-minutes before the first tip-off of the day – run a continuous loop during the games – and conclude 60-minutes after the final buzzer of the day. The shuttle will pick up and drop off on 31st Avenue, just east of Brix.
“We’re thrilled that Omaha is hosting the action – and that we get to welcome fans from around the country to Midtown Crossing. Our restaurants will be serving up slam dunks and an assist from our shuttle will help keep traffic fouls to a minimum,” said Molly Skold, Midtown Crossing’s vice president of marketing and communications.
Midtown Crossing retailers are getting in on the action by offering game day specials throughout the month of March. Fans can also register online to win a reserved table at Saints Pub + Patio and $200 toward food and drink for the Championship game on April 6.
Parking:
Midtown Crossing offers convenient and secure parking for more than 3,000 vehicles. Two parking garages are easily accessible from 33rd, Farnam and Harney Streets. In both garages, the first three hours are free, and visitors pay only $1 for each hour thereafter (with a daily maximum fee of $6).

Any guesses? I have a gut feeling that they might send the Shockers to town.

I LOVE our games! KU is always fun, Shockers in town will be interesting, IU is a blue blood, Wisconsin is a great great team, Oregon with the Altman connection and OK St is a solid filler.

All games on CBS which is great exposure. Apparently the resale market for Omaha games is head and shoulders above the rest of the country too.

Why do I get the feeling Wichita State fans are about to fund a new fleet of Lexus cars and golf trips to Scottsdale?

We need to see an autographed Philly cheesesteak, or this didn't really happen.

I had ISU in the Final Four. I thought the weak section of the bracket would allow them to go. Guess the moral of the story is to never choose the Cyclowns.

This isn't really about basketball, but I noticed KETV's facebook page has a story about what to do in Omaha for all the basketball visitors and there is a picture from our very own Collin Ulness:

I don't think that will happen here in Omaha. I was commenting to my wife as well tonight. For the Harvard/N. Carolina game in Jacksonville there were so many empty seats behind the Harvard bench.

Wow what a day for great games though. Out of the 14 completed so far, 9 of them have been decided by 4 pts or less, including 4 that were one point games. Glad Creighton isn't in this tournament. With their record during close games this season, they would almost undoubtedly lose again.
