Five-Run Sixth Lifts Chasers to 2-0 Lead
Omaha has won eight of ten road games in last three postseasons

MiLB wrote: The Omaha Storm Chasers took a commanding 2-0 lead in the American Conference Championship with a 7-4 win over the Oklahoma City RedHawks, powered by a five-run sixth inning. The final three games of the series will be played at Werner Park with the Chasers seeking a third straight Pacific Coast League Championship round appearance.

Wow since when has Omaha been dominating in baseball? This is very exciting and seems to have been brought upon by the new ballpark.. Which after seeing it in person is definitely worth the investment and seems to have brought attention to an area of the city that never had any attention.. also a very good thing..

They only got into the playoffs this year after Omaha won out the last two games of the season and Nashville lost their last two.

It is where you are at the end that counts.  I think if you go back to 5 or 6 game left Omaha had the lead and the same arguemnt for lossing the lead could be said for the other team.
For the record  NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER    !!!!!!!

Storm Chasers Game One rain delayed today, now suspended.
Royals win and are 3 games behind the Wild Card spot with less than 20 games left
Papa Hoche came in with one out in the bottom of the 7th against Cleveland, and 5 strike out later...

I would have been upset if that throw out at the plate in the bottom of the 7th decided the game against the Storm Chasers, but it sounded like it was a strong and accurate throw to get him out.

Not to look too far ahead but Durham and Pawtucket are one game apiece.
Would love to see a Omaha Storm Chasers vs Durham Bulls AAA Championship matchup!

What is that camera they are advertizing on tv - where they are at a graduation and a doofus jumps in front of their son as mom takes the pic, but she can just click something and the [expletive] is suddenly out of the picture?

Great pic!

Damn.....

www.omaha.com wrote:SALT LAKE CITY — There was no late-inning magic for the Omaha Storm Chasers this time.

There just wasn't a chance.

Salt Lake rode a two-hit shutout by Jarrett Grube and knocked out 16 hits to post a 9-0 Game 3 victory Friday night at Spring Mobile Park, cutting Omaha's lead in the best-of-5 Pacific Coast League championship series to 2-1.

Let's hope they just go all the bad play out of the way in a single game.  Now they have two to play to win one. They can get it done. If memory serves me they were on a seven game win streak and no matter what team or level you play that is pretty darn good in baseball. Regroup and Get R Done!

KC Royals were officially eliminated yesterday, but...
Jeremy Guthrie pitched seven strong innings, and David Lough hit a two-run homer to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 3-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday night. One day after being eliminated from the postseason, the Royals earned their 84th win, their most since 1993....NOTES: Kansas City RHP James Shields will attempt to win his 100th career game on Friday night. ... Chris Sale, who leads the AL in complete games, will start for Chicago. ... Kansas City pitching set a franchise record with its 1178th strikeout.
Still looking good for 2014...
