Yes, they are supposed to... That doesn't mean they actually will...

And that's why I'm not paid to do this. But holy |expletive|, a possible rematch with Nebraska. How cool is that?

Could play Nebraska in the second round...

Congrats to my friends that are huge Jays fans. I always pull for them when it is not head to head vs. the Huskers. I know that some can't handle this but too bad.

Hope that the Huskers can pull off a lower seed win in the first round and set up another CU NU game. Better than any NIT tourny game for sure!

By the way, they are saying there were 3500 at PBA in Lincoln for the watch party. I have been to Husker mens games during the Barry C. era that there were not that many fans in the stands for a GAME!

I think it's great for the entire state for both getting in, regardless of which team is my favorite. UNL really needed another men's sport to step up and represent the school, because husker football isn't turning any heads and hasn't been in a long, long time.

I imagine there'll be a few folks packing both Bluejay and Husker apparel for the trip to San Antonio... should be great fan support for both these teams.

Women's volleyball is bringing the crowds, but not at b-ball levels. Football is doomed. In 20 years, we will look back and see sell outs as history.

I do think Nebraska's home sellout streak could be in serious jeopardy if Nebraska's stumbles into a couple losing seasons. And. at this point, there's really no indication that Nebraska football is doing anything but spinning its wheels.

Especially with all that extra capacity after the stadium renovations.

Ok, enough NU on a CU thread.

Did anyone just watch the ESPN 30 for 30 episode on the Requiem of the Big East? I need to watch that a dozen more times, to see how football and capitalism killed a great uprising basketball league. The 'Cuse vs GTown... St John's and Mullin. Ewing vs Pinckney in '85? I remember pulling off the interstate in New Mexico to listen to the game, because my editor was a Nova grad...

I watched some of it last night. It was crazy how rough Georgetown played. I obviously knew of Patrick Ewing but not much else since I didn't actually see these games. The Big East was a very, very competitive place to play.

If Arizona gets upset in the second or third round and Creighton plays like we all want them to, they have a relatively easy track to the Final Four.

Then by a miracle they upset Louisville and hang with Florida till the last second where Doug throws down a 3 to beat em by 1

Fox Sports takes blame for disruption during Creighton-Xavier game
“It appears that a national receiver that was servicing Fox Sports 1’s feed to Omaha was inadvertently included in a regional switch servicing California, so when we took California to the start of Stanford-UCLA, unfortunately Omaha came along,” he said in an email. He said Fox is reviewing its procedures to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

I wouldn't consider a Creighton win over Louisville an upset, but maybe that's just me.

And how in the heck does a play-in game consist of two #11 seeds? Shouldn't they be solid 16's? Or is this where that dubious "s-curve" comes into play?

I don't frickin' get it.

They are the bottom 4 Automatic bids playing for two 16 seeds,
and also, the bottom 4 At-Larges play for the final 2 At-Large bid.

So, why show them as 11 seeds?

Most of the lesser Conference Automatics will take up all the 16, 15, 14, 13, seeds so the worst at-larges sre still better than most of the lesser automatics...

Oh, ok. Similar to why Stephen F Austin gets a 15 seed with a record of 31-2

Yes. Even though they were 29-2 against D1 opponents, and 14-0 in their conference ( giving them a decent RPI at 53) their SOS was a dismal 291 out of 351 schools. They are putting a lot more emphasis lately on SOS and more so on non-conference SOS.

That is why SMU got left out. They had the 303 ranked out of conference schedule.

I have Florida beating Wichita St in the championship game, in my bracket, but I think Wichita could certainly hang with Florida. For me, that game was a toss up.

Wichita St is a heck of a lot better than most people give them credit for, and they might be the best in the country this year.

Just saying Strange things happen in tournaments. :D

I don't watch the LINE much -- but I did see back in Feb - one line had Villanova over CU when Villanova came to town -- we know how that turned out.

Yeah, I tried to get cute and pick some upsets that didn't really pan out, then some other upsets panned out that I didn't pick.
