Husker recruiting ‘on fire’ thanks to Devaney Center renovations
Jeff Sheldon: World-Herald Correspondent wrote:Cook said the Huskers intentionally scheduled a road tournament in St. Louis to open the season in order to give workers an extra cushion to complete renovations. But last week, the Nebraska athletic department announced the Devaney renovations were on schedule to be completed by late August. Cook is hoping work is done in time to hold the team’s annual Red-White scrimmage there Aug. 24 so a large crowd can provide a match-like environment for his young club, which will feature 10 newcomers in 2013.

This year is a complete rebuilding year for the Husker Women.. I believe they lost the entire starting roster to graduation last year so that ranking is probably pretty accurate.

Losing all 5 starters and still making the top ten is pretty telling of the program, and reputation.

The new and improved Devaney Center is getting a huge new center hung video board. The long sides are 28 feet wide and 13.5 feet tall. The ends will be 13 feet two inches on the top and 9 feet 5 inches on bottom.
