Bluejays eager to face challenging schedule

they prepare for an aggressive nonconference schedule that kicks off with No. 13 BYU on Aug. 30. It also includes No. 11 Hawaii, No. 12 UCLA, No. 20 Kansas and No. 24 Wichita State.

Creighton is one of five teams — Texas, Hawaii, Florida State and Western Kentucky are the others — that will play five ranked teams before league play starts.

Notes: UNK volleyball team is preseason favorite to capture MIAA

UNK received 118 points and eight of the 12 first-place votes from league coaches. Central Missouri picked up one first-place vote and came in second with 108 points. Washburn was third with 107 points and three first-place votes. Emporia State was fourth, Pittsburg State fifth and Northwest Missouri State sixth.

Nebraska just stunned #3 Washington on their home court 3-1 and is now just beating an unranked BYU to make it to the final four, with at least one B1G school making it - #4 Wisconsin vs #5 Penn St.
