So that is next year then, no change for this year? I know that they talked about changing the bats, but ruled that out for player's safety.

The change is for next year. It will be used for sure in all NCAA tourny play including the CWS. As far as the reg season and Conf tourny goes it will be up to each individual team / league if they want to implement it. I would think that any team tha tthinks they have a shot at post season would implement. There will be no change for this years CWS

Huskers take first 2 games of Minnesota series.. maybe they can at least win this miserable conference (still trying to figure out how they lost series to Iowa... think those are the only two wins Iowa has thus far).

Huge miss by the league there. I understand that schedules are made ahead of time, but for a conference this bad to not have the two halfway respectable programs play is a major mistake.

Would have liked to see a Hoosier-Husker series; but my guess is both will meet up in Omaha. NU is starting to look like a regional team if the starting pitching continues to dominate. Still some holes on the team, but it looks like that is being addressed in recruiting. NU SS commit had 3 home runs and 12 RBI's in one game over the weekend.

RPI 61 Kansas St at 35 Nebraska tomorrow on BTN. KSU seems to have NU's number as of late, they need a nice non-conference mid-week win!

A good win for NU. Tonight should be interesting, UNO is no pushover. Great coach that UNO is lucky to have.

Well it looks like the Huskers didn't overlook UNO with a 17 - 6 win last night. Was an intersting game to listen to. There were 27 batters at the plate for the Huskers in the first two innings.

Yeah that was ugly. NU needs to keep winning. They are now being included in some early brackets for the tourney.

Nice to take 2 of 3 at Michigan. Does not look promising for a game tonight between CU and NU. Even if played the crowd will be hurt by temps.

Much better game between UNO and Nebraska. Can't believe they played it though. Horrible night to watch baseball.

I suspect that it was either play last night or not play at all. I don't know if they had a date that worked for Nebraska, UNO, and the stadium.

Not sure why the baseball writers poll goes to 30 instead of 25, but the Huskers are officially "ranked" at 29, meaning they aren't in the others receiving votes category. http://www.sportswriters.net/ncbwa/poll/

I think the staff has this team trending in the right direction. Both for this year and building for the future

Was happy to see Erstad wants to do a home and home with UNO every year in baseball. Obviously the games in Omaha need to stay at Werner. Too bad the weather was so brutal for this year's game.

Indiana just clinched a share of the B1G title, their sixth in program history. NU had taken two over MSU and gas a rare Monday game tomorrow. Standings ( * includes today's games)

3. Nebraska 15-5 34-17*

5. Michigan 12-11 25-26-1
6. Ohio State 9-11 28-23
7. Michigan State 8-12 26-22*
8. Iowa 8-12 27-19

Starting to look like the Big Ten may get 3 teams in this year unless NU sweeps Illinois. NU trending up at the right time....future looks bright with some of the young guys they have on the roster and the talent they have coming in.

NU made plays of the day on Sportscenter last night. Also due to travel issues, they had to do a bus ride back to Nebraska about 1AM last night. Going to be interesting to see what kind of shape they are in tonight.

Not going to be a pretty game for either team. Creighton plays a throw away game before this second game of the day, then prepare for their bus trip to Cincinnati.

Big question would be the over/under for the amount of pitchers used today. 16 was a number thrown out. Johnny Wholestaff time.

Rumor has they were trying to do something for Sunday but it does not look like that's going to happen.
