The Creighton baseball program will be featured on at least four national telecasts during the 2014 season. Fox Sports 1 will carry the Bluejays game at St. John's on May 11, while CBS Sports Network will feature Creighton in three contests at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.

The lineup of four games begins on Wednesday, April 23 when Creighton hosts Iowa at 6:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. The Bluejays will be home for another non-conference foe on CBS Sports Network on Tuesday, April 29 when Nebraska comes to Omaha for a 6:30 p.m. start.

The first of two BIG EAST baseball showdowns will air on Friday, May 2 when Creighton welcomes Seton Hall to open a three-game series at 6:30 p.m. Creighton's final guaranteed television appearance comes on the road at St. John's on May 11.

A first for TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.

Creighton also has 2 home runs in the same game, a first for CU at TDAPO.

That should also help attendance for the game. It seemed like the games in this matchup were earlier than normal. I thought the second game in Omaha is usually around May 10. Maybe it was to accomodate the Big 10 Baseball tournament.

Here's what I know. NU cannot get here in time for 7pm start. CU leaves tomorrow for Xavier. Servais would like to play Sunday but it is not known if NU can make that work or making arrangements with TDAPO for staffing, etc. Stay tuned.

Word I got came from NET but there is still communication between the two schools. Stay tuned.

I thought something looked fishy about the Big East Tournament schedule:

Game 6 features a 2-0 team playing a 2-1 team, with winner take all, which means it is not a double elimination tornament, because it appears that Fox Sports only wants to show one game on Sunday.

That sucks unless you happen to be the 2-1 team and win!

The CWS did that for a few years to placate CBS' need for a single game, before they went to a three game Championship series... It's all about a TV ratings....

Serious question. Is Servais going to stay at Creighton considering how awful the Big East is?

Sova has had a heck of a season. To transition from dominant closer/reliever to then throw a complete game in the Tourney is impressive.

Maybe we can get Creighton to get rid of Baseball and put in Hockey. Servais has phoned it in, and Big East Baseball is no better than little league baseball.
