Yeah there's a couple losses in there they should not have. Depth is a big issue right now with both Smith and the Old Testament out (will be great when we get them back later this season), along with BJ Day out for the year. It is nice seeing Tarin Smith's progression.
How fast did the attitude change on NU basketball change when we are talking about how they should be 8 and 2 or 9 and 1.
Someone said a while ago, that Nebraska has been so conditioned to play as the underdog, that when they are the favorites they just don't know how to be the man.

I wouldn't exactly say that they are doing tremendous either. Sure they are doing ok but their only good win was over Marquette which is 7-4 and doesn't have a marquee victory. I think Creighton is still by far the best team in the state, even though they have been extremely inconsistent (but I think that is what most people expected considering they lost 4 starters)
I still think that Creighton would beat UNO by 10-15 pts this year. It would be nice to see UNO win a few more of those games (vs Air Force and UMKC)
I think UNO's guard play could be trouble for CU but CU would most likely win. That being said, I'd like to see CU have the courage to schedule UNO going forward. I'd like to see NU have the courage to continue to schedule UNO every year (Miles has only said they will continue to play UNO but not necessarily every year).
Right now, I do think CU is the best in the state, but not my much. If NU gets Leslee Smith back and he plays like he did last year, along wit Abraham back, I think they are the best team.
Would have loved to see NU play WSU (that Hawaii loss does not look as bad considering how strong they played the Shockers), but it was cool seeing them play LMU. I was in college when they were coached by Paul Westhead. Not sure there has ever been a more fun team to watch. Then the tragedy with Hank Gathers, followed by the inspiring tourney run with Bo Kimble.
Akoy Agau is going to Georgetown. I know Nebraska was talking to him but I wonder how hard this time? Sean Callahan said that in the last 24 hours they had filled all of their available scholarships for next year.
Good win for NU last night. When Miles was hired a lot of folks around here were disappointed it was not John Groce. I don't think we'd make the trade now but it is still kind of a measuring stick game.

The season has been sold out. There were some available when the students were our for break. There are a few available for some games shortly before game time.
For the record NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER !!!!!!!
Ugly game against the Badgers but a win is a win. Looked like free throws would doom the Huskers but they made 11 of the last 12 free throws and that was enough to ge a 52 - 49 win.
Pretty good crowd for a Tue night. Some empty seats but not bad.
On to Sat.

It was ugly but I will definitely take it. Can't believe how many 3's the Gophers got off in the final seconds. I think my heart stopped each time they threw one up to attempt to tie it.
Well that was ugly last night. Go from beating Mich State with basically two starters out to Loosing big to Mich on the road with everyone available and one of the top Mich players out do do a pre game ding.
