Yep. Major part of the recruiting but I think it is not all his by any means.

Georgetown transfer says yes to Nebraska
BRIAN ROSENTHAL: Lincoln Journal Star wrote:The Nebraska men’s basketball team has filled a recruiting need for next season – an experienced big man. Georgetown transfer Moses Ayegba, who made an official visit to Lincoln on April 12, confirmed Wednesday night he’s finishing his career with the Huskers.

Ayegba, a 6-foot-9, 247-pound center, is a fifth-year senior. He’ll be eligible to play immediately after he earns his undergraduate degree in May.

Big Ten, Big East launch Gavitt Tipoff Games
BTN wrote:Two of the most prestigious conferences in the nation, the Big East and the Big Ten, have announced the establishment of the Gavitt Tipoff Games, an annual early-season series of eight men’s basketball games played between the two conferences and named in honor of Dave Gavitt, founder of the Big East and basketball visionary.

The Gavitt Tipoff Games will be played on four consecutive days in the first full week of the college basketball season. The series begins at the start of the 2015-16 season and will span eight years, with games played at home sites.

Nice move by the B1G. They've already got the challenge with the ACC, then to add this as a second one is a good move.

I could. They are setting a precedent in choosing this location, holding a tournament in a market on the very eastern fringe of the conference boundaries. They just opened the argument for any city, including Omaha, that would match their new qualifications. I bet Omaha could outsell the DC market for a B1G Tournament for the next 15 years.

It is being reported that the B1G wants to be in NYC eventually too. They want exposure on the Eastern seaboard which is one of the main reasons dismal Maryland and Rutgers even became members of the conference.

Chicago and Indianapolis, the tournament's traditional hosts, will continue to hold the event, but Washington will become part of what Delany called a ''rotation.''
So... What cities will this rotation include...?

Well I will consider myself wrong for now, I didn't think they would consider Omaha at all. These comments have been popular today.

http://www.jconline.com/story/sports/co ... n/9097227/
“I also think it’s important to latch onto our roots in the Midwest and not forget who we are as a core of the conference,” Hollis said. “I don’t think that presence is going to be reduced. It’s important to understand the value of Chicago, the value of Indianapolis, the value of Omaha as we’re looking at future sites in nearly everything that we do.”

Delany said the challenge of the 14-school league is to live in two regions.

"You’re going to see a rotation and respect for both regions,” Delany said. “I don’t expect that we’re going to be here exclusively, certainly not there exclusively, but I think you’re going to see a representation that we live in both regions. You’ll see that with our competitions, our championships, our television networks and alumni base.”
Eichorst also mentioned Omaha along with MSU's Hollis.

"the Big Ten football championship game will remain anchored in Indianapolis through 2021 and the hoops tourney will rotate between Chicago (2019 and 2021) and Indianapolis (2020 and 2022) cements the notion of where the Big Ten lays its head at night"

Saw an interesting mention that 2018 is still an open date for the B1G basketball tourney. Maybe after going east in 2017 they head west for 2018?

Unfortunate news for Leslee Smith as he tore his ACL on his left knee playing in a tournament in the British Virgin Islands. He will be a senior in Lincoln after playing last year as a transfer. He had previously tore his right ACL before playing at Nebraska.

Looks like the KU transfer that was looking at a number of schools has landed in Nebraska with the commitment made earlier this week. Andrew White III will have two years to play after sitting out this year.

Delany told the Tribune that if the tournament does not go to the Big Apple, strong possibilities to host include Omaha, Minneapolis and Detroit.

“I’m thinking that if it’s not New York, we’ll put it up (for bid) and see who’s really interested,” he said. “Omaha is hungry.”

Per the Chicago Tribune, Omaha is trying to get the Big 10 basketball conference tourny for 2018.
