Last night was a home game but of the remaining eight reg season games three are at home. The season doesn't wind down with any perceived easy games either. Of course part of the reason for that is the way the Huskers have been playing.

Yep 5 of 7 on the road. Will be tough. Then Maryland at home, assuming that will be the no-sit game this year.

CU was sort of one by the fans, I think the official one will be Maryland. Looking back, more amazed than ever that NU lost to CU. It's even more amazing for Oklahoma.

Another ugly loss on the road at Penn St yesterday. Why can this team score at home ( sort of) and not at all on the road?

That first half was horrible by Nebraska. I think we had all of 9 points with 4 to go in the half.

Slow down.... I think there is a chance of CU and NU both having reasonably good Baseball teams this year. Lets give them a chance first.

Even though it was a loss, Nebraska looked so much better last night at Maryland. It was encouraging to see Nick Fuller and how well he played.

33 points at half for the Huskers was high for the season for a road or neutral court game.

Even as a lifetime Nebrasketball fan that loss really hurt for some reason. I know we weren't supposed to win and it was a road game, but Pitchford was hot off the bench and I felt like there was a chance.

Normally I would be with you but I was just convinced we were going to get blow out. We just never seemed to have the lead (only tied in the final five), so my hopes were never too high.

Losing by such a small amount to the #16 team in the country on the road, and with the history that Maryland has, is something in of itself to be proud of.

I do understand about how the close loss gave the "almost" feel though, which is sometimes 90000 times worse than it would be if a blowout loss happened, well at least for me for my teams that I root for.

That was ugly.

I was there and for the second half you might as well renamed the Vault as the Morgue.

Kind of fitting that it was Legends weekend with a lot of players from the past in town. They honored them by playing jsut like many teams from the past. :x

I have heard from a couple of people that know a lot more than I do with connections that there is not a lot of getting along with some of the team. Seems to look that way to me on the floor too. I think there is one guy that the team would be better without. You can guess who that is.

Bagged and tagged and sorted out - players lockers were emptied out and bagged with names set outside the locker rooms... Will they still play for Miles the next few weeks?

Miles is on the hot seat that's for sure. I would bet the farm that they are or have already found Miles replacement. Miles was Osborn's pick so there's no loyalty there.

He's only in year 2 of 6 in his contract. I think the administration, Miles himself, and most reasonable fans, are expecting this to take some time.

Kind of funny how much optimism there was for Nebraska basketball(the whole state) early in the year. CU beats OU, UNO beats Marquette and Nebraska was brining back basically their entire team from an NCAA tourney bid and was preseason Top 25. Now all three are below .500 with a 34-46 combined record.

Last year was a fluke. They got hot at the right time, and the excitement carried them to some good wins. The real building process is taking place right now. Next season could be rough, as well.

For what it is worth he is in year three. This is year 2 in PBA but his first year he coached at the BOB

The Huskers were not as good as they made themselves look last year and in some ways they are not as bad as they have looked this season.

They are overall trending in the right direction. There is more interest and talk than there has probably ever been. The arena is full of fans at a level that has not been seen before on a reg bases. Way too soon to give up on Miles at this point. IF you have been following for the long haul you know how bad things really were when he came on board. The guys coming in and red-shirting give hope too.

Yeah, Nebraska basketball, like Rome, will not be built in a day. Lots of bright spots, with the development of the younger players and the best recruiting class we've ever seen coming in (or at least since the Nee era).

Throw that in with PBA and the best practice facility in the country and I'm going to be patient,

Greg
