Thanks. I didn't have all the timing last night. Massa made this amazing kick save while he was lying on his stomach. KETV showed it a couple times on the news. Anyways, I got the shot of the guy shooting it, then the next shot it was already off the foot and making its way towards the boards. If I had an $8000 camera like the OWH, there would have been a few more frames in between there to get the puck on his foot....

Ortega is the first Maverick to be named national player of the month since November of 2012 when Ryan Walters won the award. Earlier in the day, Ortega also was named the NCHC Player of the Month, the second Maverick to be so honored this season.
May be the biggest series of the year for UNO coming up Fri 1/30, and Sat 1/31 against North Dakota, who loves to bring a lot of green into town. Now that college football is over, if you've thought about attending a game, this will be the time to attend! I'm planning on going to the Sat game, puck drops at 7:07, anyone else thinking of going?
For this young group, this year may be the start to get ready to move into a new arena next year.
I am hoping they push 10k per game for that weekend. Good crowds this past weekend, 6500 and 7000, so there is no reason to think they can't get close to 10. During the post game Saturday night, Lester said he was hoping for 11 or 12 for ND.

Good, it will make for a better environment. Sometimes I think UNO fans get complacent so it fun to get a loud group of beer drinkers from the frozen north to mix it up a little....
1. Minnesota State University (13)
2. University of North Dakota (8)
3. Boston University (7)
4. Harvard University (5)
5. University of Minnesota Duluth
6. UMass Lowell 7. University of Nebraska Omaha (1)
I have a friend that feels the same way. That being said, we went there for the UNO games on Thanksgiving weekend. With the exception of 4 people a couple rows behind us on the Saturday night game, we got treated great. All weekend.

I hate blackouts. It looks like Nobody is there on TV and in Photographs. I really wish it was red or white... Just like the new arena went with black chairs, really wish they went red.

That's a UNO thing. I contact Lawlor's on why they don't offer UNO hockey stuff in red anymore? They said it was UNO's request, did not want to be confused with UNL.....
And for the record, I agree, wish UNO had not made the decision to move away from red.

So the new UNO arena is going to have black seats?
An interesting game to do a blackout for considering UND is known to travel well and there will be as many UND fans as UNO fans at the series. The blackout will just make all the green stand out even more IMO.
