NFL 2014
Can't wait for the season to begin tonight. I am a huge Redskins' fan, even though it is going to be tough for them to make the playoffs, they should be much improved from last year's 4-12 team.

That Chiefs win tonight was incredible. So much fun to watch.

It was my first NFL game and I'm a Patriots fan... It was a terrible game for them, great game for the Chiefs. We broke the world record though.
Re: NFL 2014
How is it that a college stadium crowd doesn't hold this record? So many considerably larger venues.
Shoot for the Moon... if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

They beat out Seattle? Or was there a crowd in Between?guitarguy wrote:Crowd Noise

Hard to believe but yes the did beat Seattle! Suppose an ordinary game could be very loud but when you challenge everyone to try to set a record people go that extra bit.

Ah, yes...
Chiefs fans break Seattle noise mark

ESPN wrote:A Guinness representative registered a level of 142.2 decibels in the second quarter to break the record. The old record of 137.6 decibels was set last December by Seattle Seahawks fans at CenturyLink Field during a game against the New Orleans Saints.
Re: NFL 2014
My friend at the game said the record was broken as the crowd chanted "Let's go Royals."

The Chiefs had held the record prior to Seattle breaking it last season. Guess this is a new rivalry.

Re: NFL 2014
FCC has voted to end the blackout rule for the NFL to be able to black out TV coverage in the home market of the game is not sold out.
I see this as a good thing. There may have been a time and a place for this but with the cost of tickets where they are and may average fans not being able to go to the game because of cost it is time for this rule to end. Heck, you have to have a pay TV service to see a fair amount of the games now anyway.
Doesn't mean it is a done deal yet but it will be an uphill battle for the NFL

Couldn't agree more! When you price the game day experience higher than most fans can justify you shouldn't also have the power to punish these fans for their lack of ''Loyalty''.
