I think you got Rios confused with Gordo. Although I think Gordo's wrist injury has contributed to his slow start.

Yes, Rios got hit in the hand by a Minnesota pitcher. It looks like Lorenzo Cain will move to right field and Jarrod Dyson will replace Cain in center.

Also it looks like Luke Hochevar is going to spend some rehab time in Omaha. I hear he may start this Thursday...

Yeah, saw the Alex and I think in my head I always think Gordon first.

They are keeping Cain in CF with Dyson in right. Some internet geniuses are of the opinion that it is so they don't take away Cain's potential Gold Glove like they did last season.

First loss of the season. Amazing how Kyle Gibson just has the Royals number.

I think that was the furthest into the stands I have ever seen someone catch a foul ball!

I heard on the Royals broadcast on Sunday that after he dived into the stands to catch the ball when he went out for the next inning he went over and gave a ball to the younger kid that was in his flight path.

Yep, pretty close. Article in the KC Star today says he gave the ball to the guy he hit full force and that guy in turn gave it to his son next to him.

Nice to see KC win last night over Kluber and the Tribe.

Rios on rehab in Omaha last week (didn't look like that hand hurt at all):

Gordon hurt tonight in the 4th inning. Taken off on a cart. Looks to be his left leg and he slowed down in a strange way and went down hitting the outfield wall. Hope it is not as bad as it looked

To see Gordon not trying to finish the play, but throw his glove off, makes me think when he planted that foot before hitting the wall did some major damage/hurt.

When I saw it live, thought for sure it was an ACL/MCL tear. I still think we'll be lucky to get him back by August. For KC it's good that part of his time out will be the All Star break, but sad for Gordon since he was a starter.

I agree because with the way he fell it looked like he was in pain or at least something was wrong before he ever hit the wall. If there is such a thing as a groin injury being a good thing this is it because it sure looked like it was much worse.

Is it official? I heard a medical issue on a player being traded was a hold up.

Now it looks like the Royals are going after INF Martin Prado from the Marlins for cash considerations.

Good utility player/PH would of been great for a game like today where they sat Moose and Hosmer. I like Cuthbert, but a vet would be a lot better come Sept/Oct.

Yeah that's painful. When I responded to an earlier post on the Royals and Zobrist, I put in that it seemed like everyone was in on Zobrist. Was afraid that it would drive the price up and it did.

If they win it all this year it wont matter, but giving up 5 of your top pitchers is a real investment in the now.

At least, ... Least..., Zobrist is signed till 2016, Cueto may just be on loan for the rest of the year. Big contracts coming up in 2016, I think Hosmer and a few others, so this looks like it's all in for either this year or next.

And I hear Cueto is pitching on Friday.
