Bubba has been playing so much better this year. He got slowed down earlier this season with a hamstring issue. Will be interesting to see if he arrives in Omaha this year or next. Seems like it's been forever for him but this is only his 4th pro season.

If he would have red-shirted his first year at Nebraska - he would be a Sr this year...

I read b/c they don't want to carry 5 OFs while Zobrist is going to be in left. As soon as Gordon comes back Cuthbert will go down and Zobrist should get more run in the IF.

I guess with Zobrist I was thinking since he can play infield Cuthbert would be back in Omaha to get more at bats. Works for me though.

I think Zobrist will stay in LF till Gordon gets healthy and then he will take up Infante's spot?

I think he will spell Rios some, along with some time at 3rd and short too. I hope they keep plugging Dyson in as well.

Actually the pilot and I talked about that. He said Crop Dusters are larger... They need room to hold the pesticides.

Joba Chamberlain headed to Omaha. His hasn't been very good for a few years now, but will make for some nice ovations at Werner.

Also Gordon should get a rehab assignment next week. They haven't decided if it will be AA or AAA though.

Not a Royals release but the KC Star quotes Gordon as saying Omaha

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-co ... 63146.html
The Royals have not officially announced the date of Gordon’s departure. Gordon explained he would travel with the team on this coming road trip to Cincinnati and Boston, but he would not return home with them. He said he would rehab with Class AAA Omaha. The Storm Chasers return home from Las Vegas on Sunday for a week-long stint at Werner Park.

Sounds like Gordon will be starting his rehab in Omaha. Going on trip with KC to Cincy and Boston, then going to Omaha when rest of team goes to KC. The next home stand starts Sunday. Not sure if Gordon will be in Omaha Sunday or Monday.

It looks like Joba's first outing as a Stormchaser didn't go so well. 8/19 @ LV

Pitched in one inning getting no outs and giving up 4 hits and 4 runs. Faced 4 batters in the 8th.

Yeah he had a rough start. Hopefully they sign him again next year to get things right. I don't see Joba being in KC this year.

Gordon starts his rehab in Omaha Sunday night.

Great Night at Werner Park! A Sell-Out Crowd watches Gordon hit a 2 run home run and Joba get a win!

On a side, I would guess that I am the only person in the world that Photographed Joba on the very last night in the Old Yankee Stadium and also his first night at Werner Park!!! # history

1. Joba at the Last night at Yankee Stadium and tonight at Werner Park!

2. Awesome Sold-Out Crowd tonight

1. Alex Gordon is a stud
2. Joba needs to lose 20 or so pounds if he is serious about continuing to pitch in the big leagues.

I didn't think Joba looked much different than he did in NY. He did pitch well last night. Mid 90's on fastball with 2 k's. Faced the minimum.

Gordon's homer was a no doubt bomb.

Such a blast at Werner last night. Loved the weather too. Got tickets for Thursday and Friday as well.

Great to see a sold-out crowd for a Sunday afternoon game, especially at the end of August.

Hopefully Werner didn't reek of beer. I saw people pouring out beer in the most unusual places on Saturday...

Such a fantastic place to watch a game. Going back Thursday and Friday. Did you see the new area they are putting in next to the Down Draught? I just noticed the coming soon sign on Sunday (it does have a pic with it).

Sorry, should have included that. For 2016, a Party Patio. Real nice are next to (almost a large extension) of the Down Draught area. Looks good with tables and seating, and very well landscaped. Love the outfield area at Werner and they are building on that.

Unfortunately the chasers were eliminated tonight, ending a great run over the past several years. Too bad the MiLB doesn't have a wild card...
