I could be hallucinating, but didn't Creighton face BYU in the not so distant past? If I remember right, BYU beat Creighton, and BYU was one of the hackiest and floppiest teams I've ever witnessed in my life. I think it was during Doug's first year at CU?

Yes, that was the BYU team with Jimmer Fredette.

Z is out for the year and it is sounding like Albert is done after today. The guard depth is going to be tested at BYU.

CU gets another 20 win season.

Hard to tell how good Wagner is, even though they end the season with 23 wins
I was impressed with CU's resolve to get the ball inside both passing to the posts or driving the ball. There was a noticeable decrease in three pointers.

Sounds like BYU's best player, Kyle Collinsworth had the flu yesterday and is questionable for tonight's game. For the Jays, Zierden is still out and Malik Albert is out as well.

They are expecting a crowd of 15,000 for the game.

Creighton was off to a good start and lead by as much as 12 with 8 min to go in the first half, but since Huff picked up his 2nd foul, things have started to get bad. Jays down 37-38 at half. Toby Hegner is bringing absolutely nothing. Hopefully Huff can stay out of foul trouble, we don't need Toby he plays no defense and only shoots 3's.

Glad that we got 20 wins, but this season looks like it is over.

Great comeback try by the Jays. Closed a 15pt deficit down to 6 at the end (Harrell even hit a 3 right after the buzzer as well) Finish the season 20-15.

Great game for Groselle: 22pts (17 in the 2nd half) and 8 rebs
Huff: 18pts and 11 rebs
Watson: 9pts and 9 assts

Can't wait for next season. Tough to lose Groselle, but Marcus Foster should be able to create his own shot.

I agree. Nice to see the Bluejays hit 20 wins. They played well in the NIT. Should be a nice springboard for next season. This year, the final 8 in the NIT.. Next year, hopefully, the big dance..

There have been too many games where Creighton loses their composure for 4-7 minutes, fall behind, only to regain it and make a run at their deficit. Those momentary lapses have hurt them this season. Yes, they played at BYU, in front of a rapid 15k, the refs may have started their fall of fortune, but that fall should be brushed off quicker than they have been able to let go of.

It is an attitude they haven't gained yet. That no matter what happens to them, just brush it off and, game on... That attitude has to be handed down from upper classmen to newcomers. McBuckets had it. Gibbs and Wragge had it. Maybe they have recruited bodies, but have they also recruited a killer attitude?

The weird mid-game collapses are just too odd to watch. I think a year of experience, plus the addition of Foster will definitely help...also continuing to have Watson is a huge thing. That said, I just wish somehow McDermott and the rest of the coaching staff could spot these mental lapses before they fall behind by 10+ and nip it in the bud.

Oh well, onwards and upwards. Next year should be a fun one.

Marlon Stewart has decided to transfer....no surprise there. He will be a good player in the Valley. Good luck to him.

This should open up another scholarship that hopefully we use for a big man.

Yes, good luck at finding a better rotation where he can get more playing time...
I am sure they will help in finding him a new placement.
Great new for Creighton in getting a spot open. It will be interesting to see who they might go after...

Good luck to Leon.

That would set Creighton back pretty good next year if he doesn't come back.

With the new rules this will be a very common thing in CBB. I expect Mo to be back next year, I bet the coaches do too.

It will not take long before Watson finds out his true NBA value. I just wonder why he wants to go through the motions.

I think he may have gotten some of the 'ol proverbial "sunshine pumper" advise..

He is entitled to do so.. But sheesh. After one "breakthrough" season? You're right though, he'll find out his NBA worth for sure.. And be right back preparing for his Senior season with the Bluejays...

Good move by Mo to get a feel for what everything is like. He will be back in blue for the Bluejays next year though.

Men's Basketball Ranks Top-10 in Home Attendance For Fifth Straight Season
The Creighton Men's Basketball team has finished in the top-10 nationally in average home attendance for the fifth straight season.

Creighton attracted 302,887 fans to CenturyLink Center Omaha in 19 home dates, good for an average of 15,941 to place 10th.

The team could have been eighth with an average of 17,065 if not for a pair of home National Invitation Tournament games that dropped CU two spots.
Also noticed that this is the record attendance for a single year breaking the 08-09 season record of 302,676.
