Me too! But I haven't decided if I am going to break the company dress code and wear my brand new "Frozen Four" shirt or not when I am at work...

Maybe UNO can actually touch the puck in the third period.

Damn they lose. Is there season tickets available for next year or are they sold out?

Now that UNO is moving out of the CenturyLink Center, is there any chance that Omaha could host the Frozen Four? I see that the locations have been selected through 2018, but I guarantee you that Omaha could sell more tickets than any other site in the country. We have proven it for Women's Volleyball, Men's Baseball, Olympic Swimming, and even Men's basketball.

I was thinking the same thing, especially after hearing that the Boston Globe basically said |expletive| UNO and ND...

UNO played terrible today. Providence played well and they were all over the ice, but the Mavs couldn't even collect pretty simple passes today. Glad this crew got the experience though, they should be hungry next year.

I'm assuming they could host. I'd like to see Omaha at least try to host a regional.

UNO just could not get anything going offensively. No flow to the game for them. Very few times did we get the puck in front of the net, let alone with traffic.

This is the first real post season success we've had, other than going to the CCHA finals in our 3rd year. I think UNO is going to really wish they had built bigger. There are going to be a lot more season ticket holders next year. If this run was not a fluke, and there is no reason to believe it was with the freshman and sophomores coming back (Massa is a big loss though), there is going to be a much higher demand for tickets.

Yeah. I agree. I think the arena should have been in the 9-10,000 range.

UNO was just awful. They didn't skate very hard, but their mental slowness was even worse. They took very poor angles defending the rush and waited a second or two before passing. By the time the Mavs got the puck up ice it was time for a line change. They're a transition team so the lack of puck possession was somewhat normal. But UNO just killed themselves with poor positioning and turnovers. Coaches had no answer for Providence's forecheck which usually had two players on the puck even down at the goal line.

I know we should just be happy UNO made it that far. I am happy for that. But one and done tournaments are so fluky that typically things have to align just right to win a championship. And the Mavs aren't going to get a much easier path to the championship game as they got this year. Nor are they likely to get as as good of goaltending as Massa provided this season. It was a big time missed opportunity.

So how hard would it to be to expand the new stadium? I wonder if they even considered that when the designed it.

Pretty hard.

They don't want to have a big arena. This will constrain demand and make tickets more desirable. Given that between corporate and STH's that have bought seats already, there are fewer than 2000 left and that 500 will be kept for visiting team and other admin needs, there won't be much of a Gen Admission gate.

Yeah they did not leave room to expand, like they did at Century Link and Pinnacle.

I thought within about 10 years if UNO started winning and the rink is as nice as it looks, they'd wish they built bigger. That timeline got accelerated. I'm going to bet most games next year are going to be sell outs. Going forward in a couple years, all of them will be. Will be interesting how much tickets go up once that starts happening.

Mavericks Finish Season Fourth In Polls
The Omaha hockey team concluded the 2014-15 season with its highest ever ranking in the two national polls.

The Mavericks were ranked fourth in the top-15 poll from USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and in the top-20 poll from USCHO.com. UNO lost to eventual national champion Providence in their first-ever appearance in the Frozen Four on April 9 in Boston, Mass.
