Oh hey, it's CWS time. I can't wait for endless discussion on the orientation of the ballpark.

I think this year it will be seeing if the new baseball help increase the scoring. It's been helpful during the regular season. TD is such a vacuum to offense though, that will be the true test.

Maryland (2-0) vs UCLA (2-1) tonight
Illinois (2-0) vs Wright St (2-1) tomorrow 2:00 pm

Iowa (2-1) left bases loaded in the top of the 8th and trails MO St. 2-3. And then lost in the 9th after they left the tying run on second with one out.

A team from Louisiana is guaranteed a spot at the CWS, as the third seeded Ragin Cajuns wins the Houston bracket to'play LSU, in the Super Regionals. Another Cinderella out there are the third seeded Virginia Cavaliers, who will now play the winner of the Maryland /UCLA game this evening.

VCU won a regional with power programs Texas and Oregon St as well as arguably the most up and coming baseball school Dallas Baptist. Must be something in the water on the Rams' campus that fosters underdog success stories.

Maryland could pull this one off. UCLA strands 2 in the top of the 7th after scoring one to pull within 2-1. But that was with their 3,4,5 hitters...

That is funny, my wife said the same thing "It must be because LSU made the tournament"

I just checked Woodmen's lighting schedule and it didn't show anything for Sunday and it being purple. It was red, white and blue on Saturday night for D-Day and will be again on this next Saturday for the first day of the CWS.

So their board really is convinced that Omaha loves when they get to the CWS. I'm new here, so is this true or are they just full of themselves?

Omaha does love LSU fans. They are a lot of fun and spend a ton of $$$ in Omaha. Barrett's is going to be the place to be this weekend.

It looks like it was purple for Cancer Survivors Day though. Just like the Tiger's brash confidence.

Tent city going up in North Downtown. Looks like Nike is doing a huge set up on the gravel lot off of 15th and Cuming, a couple Nike branded shipping containers and a big stage rigging going up. UP's train was pulling up as I drove by this morning too.

We love the LSU fans. They were easily the most fun when you could tailgate at the Blatt.

Great people who know how to have a good time and include others.

LSU Baseball fans are by far and away the best fans in College Baseball, or maybe all of college sports. Very inclusive, know how to party, bring a great atmosphere, and oh my goodness the food.
