I thought that was interesting that they went from Hockey to BB, they never did that at the Clink because they said it took too long to go Hockey to BB.

I got here a few min before 6 and it was completely done, zambonied, etc. Even the crew that did the change over appeared to be gone.

One interesting twist is that this team probably can no longer qualify for the NIT, but still has a chance to qualify for the NCAA tourney.

Why would they no longer qualify for the NIT? Correct me if I am wrong, but any team that doesn't make the NCAA tournament has a chance to qualify for the NIT or CBI.

The can qualify, just not automatically by winning the reg season.
Selection Process
The NIT Selection Committee will conduct selections for the 2015 Postseason NIT, March 13-15. Any regular-season champion of an NCAA Division I conference (as determined by the conference’s tie-break protocol) not otherwise selected to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship will secure an automatic qualification into the NIT. The committee will then select the best available teams to fill the 32-team NIT field. Once selected teams are seeded and placed into one of four eight-team regions.

The seniors for UNO stuck through a tough stretch for the program and worked their tails off to make the Mavericks better. I couldn't be happier that these guys won their last home game in a new arena after working nearly their entire career w/o out chance of post season play. They are a massive part of UNO basketball's history, I really am hoping that they get hot and take that tourney title!

They are still eligible for the NIT, but I've heard that the Summit is likely to only get one team into the NIT. The CBI seems very possible.

If they don't get into the NCAA Tournament, I'm hoping for a first round home game in the CBI or CIT like they had 2 years ago. I don't know how all of that works, and I understand UNO would have to pay to get a home game. Not sure they would be willing to do that again, but it would be a nice sendoff for these seniors.

UNO posted on their facebook that they have accepted an invite to a postseason tourney. Really happy for the Seniors that played through the transition period that they get to go out with this opportunity.

UNO scored 80 in a half and still lost 120-112. Might want to work on defense in the offseason.

I wondered if 80 might be a record for points in a half, but no, Troy scored over 100 each half in a game in 1992.
