We got through but it is great it's coming for a second time. As I was walking up some guy gave me a "fast pass" ticket and me and my boys got to go through a shorter line.

Hopefully Dayton Moore comes up again. Last year's KC night was a blast.

With Dyson starting the year on the DL Reymond Fuentes gets the start in RF over Orlando. Kinda surprising, though Paulo was solid last year.

It was only because Matt Harvey is a right hander.

Escobar just made the highlight play of the year...
On a ball hit to shallow CF, he slides to make an over the shoulder catch,
Only to hop up and throw a strike to first base for a double play!
Gold Glove moment. Watch it on the Top10 highlights.

Some pretty relevant comments from the announcers tonight. 8/9 hitters of Infante/Dyson is pretty iffy hitting with no real PH guy waiting on the bench.

Gotta think they make a move at some point for a little more pop off the bench.

Actually they are probably better off than last year. Infante is hitting better so far. For the RF spot, Rios was awful. He started good the first week, but after he got hit in the wrist, never got back on track. He did seem to be better in the post season though. Ned, since he has been in KC has hardly ever used pinch hitters. He uses pinch runners late than pinch hitters.

I really hate losing Moose. One of my favorites.

That being said, it's cool seeing Eibner and Merrifield getting their shots at MLB.

And Eibner gets his second Salvy Splash as he hits a game winning walk off single, as the Royals score 7 in the bottom of the 9th for an Epic 8-7 comeback win

Eibner suffers an ankle injury and is carted off the field.

Meanwhile CWS fans are upset they were swept by a AAA team.

He was designated for assignment with the Royals owing him about $17 million. I don't see him coming to Omaha. After he is not claimed on waivers he will get his money from the Royals and go elsewhere or retire.

I did not have the best feeling going into this year. I think you have to go back to the Yankees maybe in the 90's for a team that went to the World Series 3 years in a row. Definitely time to hit reset and start building for next year.

Don't sweat it, there is still like 6,503 games left this MLB season.

Danny Duffy has a no-hitter (14 K, BB) after 7 innings. He has turned into the Royals ace, when he was the last pitcher out just a few years ago...

Duffy loses the no-hitter on the third pitch in the 8th, but ends up with a new Royal's record 18K. After 105+ pitches I doubt he will come out for the 9th.

Really cool article on how the Royals reached out to Caleb Schwab's family (the 10 year old who died at Schlitterbahn).

First time I saw him pitch was in KC at the Future's Game when they were hosting the MLB All Star Game. Then got to watch him in Omaha and again in KC for the Royals. Loved him. So sad.
