Who Do You Wish You Could Watch Nebraska Defeat On A Hail Mary?

If you could watch Nebraska defeat anyone at the last second on a Hail Mary, who would it be?

Well, at least you have a good sense of humor.

But on a serious note, if such a play were to happen, I'd like it to be at Memorial Stadium here in Lincoln like it was against Northwestern 2 years ago.

That play against NW was one of the coolest sports moments I've ever been a part of. My best ever was being at the KC Wild Card Game in 2014, where the Royals came back against the A's.

Only partially joking. You did say anyone. If I could have any scenario with any team, I'd enjoy seeing UNO return as a FCS/1AA/Whatever the heck they call themselves now team and play Nebraska with it going down to the wire.

Yes, I did, didn't I? It's not unheard of FBS and FCS teams to meet. Nebraska and McNeese State did in 2014. If you remember that unexpected close call.

I once asked my dad, who lives in Spokane, and asked him what he'd think about Nebraska and Eastern Washington (EWU) playing each other. He said that would've been like the Indians (the baseball team in Spokane) and the Mariners playing each other. EWU is an FCS team, so that's why he thought that. EWU is in Cheney, 10 miles southwest of Spokane.

But anyway, it's unfortunate that UNO cut football. Sometimes I wish Creighton would bring their football team back. Of course if they did, where would their stadium go?

They'd use TD Ameritrade is my guess.

Alabama, if they remain the best and they schedule Nebraska as one of their late regular season games, AND Nebraska finds itself in national contention. They'd be stupid to do that, although I've noticed they schedule pretty late season non conference games. I could see them underestimating Nebraska when scheduling a "lower power 5' opponent, and the Huskers end up having a great year up to that game.

I just crunched some numbers and Bo Pelini's first year won by higher margins, and lost by higher margin.

First year Mike Riley won by slimmer margins and lost by slimmer margins.

My take-away so far is Mike Riley is coaching in the Big 10 where 7 points are harder to score compared to 14 in the Big 12.

Just out of curiosity, is what we did against Michigan State considered a Hail Mary? That controversial touchdown that gave Nebraska the win?

Yeah, I didn't think so.
