They out zoned Syracuse's zone. I don't know what to think of them. However, they do not have a bad loss yet this year.
Losing to Arkansas State at home isn't a bad loss?
An Arkansas St team that is 8-2 with an RPI at 23?

Another big game going on at the Crossroads Classic:

#18 Butler 42
#9 Indiana 28 Half

Purdue came back from 17 down to beat Notre Dame in the first game.
The state of Indiana has some good teams.

What a pitiful performance so far tonight. May end up losing to a team that should have no business even being close.

Jays sneak out a one point win. That long off period did them a great deal of harm somehow.

They've GOT to work on their Free throws for heaven's sake.

They get outrebounded 30-40, only 3 offensive, leading to (I think) 0 fast break points in the second half.

I could be wrong, but I doubt Creighton falls in the polls. Both #7 NC and #9 Indiana lost. There is a possibility with Creighton remaining unbeaten that they may rise as high as #8 on Monday. If that happens, it would be the highest ranking in school history.

I am counting on that, just saying we probably will not see much of a bump in the polls.

If we are looking at RPI, the Big East leads all conferences by quite a long ways.

I always enjoy Creighton SID Rob Anderson's stats.

Good road win for CU, despite all the bad calls, but what upsets me off most is that ESPN chose to show every single |expletive| free throw that ASU did that stupid |expletive| curtain show, even splitting the screen to show both the kids and the game...

They played really well for a stretch in the second half and if it weren't for Mo Watson being in foul trouble, Tyler Clement wouldn't have been in there with his 4 to's. The Jays were up by 20 and just like that after Mo went out, they were only up by 10. They could have won by 25-30 if it wasn't for that bad 1-2 min stretch. Thankfully Foster and Hegner each hit a 3 to keep the lead strong.

Either way, what a great Christmas present for Jay's fans to be 12-0 during the non-conference schedule.

Thought this quote from an Arizona state player after the game was funny: I don't think I have ever heard a player from the home team say something like this before. That doesn't speak highly for the Arizona St fans.

Tre Holder (in video) acknowledges "it was like a home game for Creighton" because of the crowd, literally said this:

"(this game) shows us we can play on the road as well."

says they won't face anyone who shoots the ball at this high of a level and is athletic as us in their conference

Arizona State shows a winning effort to build on

Creighton has made the list of Final 4 for recruiting of 5-star prospect Brian Bowen:

Image
Creighton: “They’re a top 10 team in the country right now and they have made a huge leap in their program, said Bowen.” “They want me to come in there and make even a bigger impact.”
Brian Bowen has 4 schools in mind and is nearing a decision

Probably true, but still amazing to see the Jays listed as a finalist. 3-4 years ago, this never would have happened.

As of this morning....34 tickets left for tonight's Seton Hall game and Saturday's Nova game has been sold out for weeks. The cheapest tickets for Saturday's game on stubhub are $80, with most in the $100-120 range.

Hopefully the Jays can get a win tonight because Saturday is possibly the biggest home game in CU's history.

According to a CU Tweet I saw during one of the media timeouts, it was the largest of the Season and 14th largest All time.

Coach Mac said after the game he doesn't know if its the biggest game ever... He thought may be the Conference Tournament against Wichita was bigger... I'm not sure you will see many CU Fans that agree with that.
