I am expecting an L hopeful for a W. Creighton has so many new pieces that need to gel and Wisconsin brought back practically their entire team from last year. I think I saw that their top 9 scorers from last season all returned. An early season matchup favors the experienced team with chemistry.
Well, hopefully the CLC will be rockin' and cause some trouble, and maybe Wisconsin will overlook the Jays.... or something.
Holy |expletive|, they pulled that out in the end. Only 7 turnovers, how many FT did Wisky try? They live on the Line. Sure they got outrebounded, but their double down defense was a piece of beauty. That post defense was totally awesome with all the switching. It was a pickem until the last hour when it went Wisc -2. A top 10 win is HUGE!
I have to think letting them shoot from outside and double in the post all night was the game plan from Mac. It felt rough in the first half when they got hot from behind the arch, but throughout the game we kept them out of the paint and they were not efficient from outside.
Great gutsy game from the guys tonight. This Creighton team has the opportunity to be special, if they treat every game like they did tonight there is no limit to what they can do.
Great win for teh Jays last night. Listed to what I could driving home from the Husker game and got to see the last 4 Min of game clock on TV after I was home. Have to say I was a bit surprised how they put it away at the end.
For the record NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER !!!!!!!

Agreed. They just need to keep up the intensity, and treat every game like this one.
What a great win for the Jays. I get a different vibe from this team than any other Creighton team since I first got season tickets 10 years ago. So far, this team has shown that they don't need to rely on the 3 as much as teams in the past. That is how you win a game and advance in the tournament. Sure you might win one with a hot shooting night, but that has proven to be the Jay's Achilles when it comes to tournament time.
Justin Patton has impressed. I understand that he is probably going to have some ups and downs, but to record 10 pts and 7 rebs as a Freshman against the 9th ranked team in the country that is know for playing stout defense.
By the way 19th largest crowd in Creighton history. (17,879)
Granted, we are only 2 games into the season, but Mo Watson is 2nd in the nation with 9.5 apg. He is also the current active leader in college basketball in overall assists.

The absolute best decision Maurice Watson could have ever made, is swallowing that temptation and coming back to the Jays for his senior season.
This has the makngs of being a historical and special season for CU basketball...
14 Bluejays played and all scored at least 2 pts, giving the starters plenty of rest for the next two games. Playing the Pac-12, ACC and Atl-10 during this tournament. Nice to see Kobe Paras and Jordan Scurry get playing time.

Agreed. It was painful to watch at times a couple of years back when the Jays looked overmatched athletically. You could see them turning the corner last year..
Couple of stats: Mo Watson is leading the nation with 9.8 assists per game. Every team Creighton has played this year has been undefeated when the Jays played them: (UMKC 0-0, Wisconsin 1-0, Washington St 2-0, NC State 3-0 and tonight's matchup Ole Miss 4-0)

I saw that Mac challenged him to the be nation's leader in assists this season. White and Blue review is running a tracker, but I don't think its live on the site yet, should be as soon as a few bugs are worked out.
As a Husker fan I cringe to think of what the Jays will do on 12/7 in Lincoln. That being said, that is the only game I will be pulling for the Jays to loose. AS I have stated before I want to see two and even three successful Div 1 programs in the state in men's hoops.

I would love to see all 3 successful as well, but UNO isn't off to the best start yet at 1-3 and they still have road games at Iowa and Iowa St coming up at the beginning of December.
What a great comeback by the Jays. They were down by as much as 11 and ended up winning by nine. Mo Watson had a horrible game and still finished with 9 points, 7 assists and five rebounds.
