FINAL: No. 7 Creighton picks up a 2-0 victory over No. 25 Rutgers in the 2016 season-opener. Lucas Stauffer converted a penalty kick, and Riggs Lennon added an insurance goal to give the Bluejays their fourth consecutive season-opening shutout. Creighton opens its home schedule on Monday night against San Francisco. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Morrison Stadium.

JAYS WIN! No. 23 Creighton scores twice in the opening minutes and adds an insurance goal in the second half as the Bluejays defeat Tulsa in the NCAA Tournament First Round, 3-0. Mitch LaGro headed in a goal off a corner kick from Joel Rydstrand in the third minute and Myles Englis scored his fifth goal of the postseason three minutes later. Ricky Lopez-Espin notched his 10th goal of the season at the 68' mark. Creighton (12-6-3) will travel to Lexington to face No. 16 seed Kentucky (11-4-3) for a second round match on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 3:30pm CST.

The Bluejays will host the Friars on Saturday. Kickoff at Morrison Stadium is scheduled 6 p.m.
