After defeating #10 Florida yesterday 25-27, 25-15, 25-16, 25-21
Nebraska sweeps #2 Texas 25-15, 25-16, 25-21

And after a disappointing first game in which Creighton lost a 2-0 lead, the Jays rebounded with a good win over Iowa State yesterday.
Speaking of disappointment, #7 USC lost is first three matches (all at home) against three unranked foes. Creighton plays at USC on Saturday.

Kudos to Iowa State for being willing to come play UNO tonight at Baxter. Iowa State will likely win the match easily, but will lose some RPI points. It's a no win for them. Hopefully Creighton and NU will be willing to add UNO soon.

Huge game tonight between NU and Penn State. Looking at all sports at Creighton, UNO and NU, is there a bigger rivalry currently than NU vs Penn State in volleyball?

Creighton beats 5th seeded Kansas, the only seed not to advance.
Creighton is in the Sweet 16. Next up, 12th seeded Michigan.

Huskers move on to play Penn St on the 9th in Lincoln. Too bad it is set for an 11:00 AM start. I am sure the place will be full but it will keep some form seeing it on TV. Will be on ESPNU
Final for the regional for whoever makes it will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday and also on ESPNU

Creighton will be playing Michigan at 5:30 Friday in Austin. Game on ESPN3
The regional final for whoever makes it in Austin will be at 7:00 PM Sat on ESPNU

Creighton was the only team to break chalk in the Sweet 16
And with 2 matches left, may be the only team to break chalk in the Elite 8.

I was worried NU would have a let down after yesterday's match, but playing Washington they are 25-16, 10-1 right now.

Meanwhile # 6 Stanford down two sets comes back to defeat #3 Wisconsin.

Tough loss seeing the Huskers get swept by Texas. No matter what Nebraska and Creighton had GREAT seasons this year. On to next season!
