Saw these two articles today in the Sioux Falls paper and the OWH. I guess both UNL and Creighton weren't impressed with his high school career

In his last nine games, the 6-foot-9 center is averaging 31.4 points, and he’s now just four points away from Chris White’s single-season school record of 747 points. His big game boosted Daum’s season average to 24.8 points per game, which is second in the nation behind Central Michigan point guard Marcus Keene (who, prior to last night, had this year’s high-game in the NCAA with 50 points).

He took an unofficial visit to Nebraska before his junior year of high school, but NU never showed serious interest — Creighton never contacted him. The Nebraska snub especially motivated him, he said.
“For some reason, I just felt a little hostile toward them after the recruiting process. … I really like Coach (Tim) Miles. I actually went to the basketball camps when Coach Miles was at CSU. I loved him as a head coach. Things work out in a funny way.”

This kid is getting a lot if press right now. They talked about him on KFAB too this AM. He is having a great year and is deserving on the coverage BUT the big unanswerable question is would he be doing this against the teams that CU or NU play?

He definitely would have a better supporting cast. Seems like Creighton had a player a couple years ago that people wondered the same thing. He seemed elevate his game to the next level.nebugeater wrote:This kid is getting a lot if press right now. They talked about him on KFAB too this AM. That and for every phenom that flies under the radar like this kid, and in football Danny Woodhead, there are HUNDREDS of kids from smaller schools that don't pan out. With limited scholarships, it's a numbers game and you have to play the odds.nebugeater wrote:This kid is getting a lot if press right now. They talked about him on KFAB too this AM.
