What a trip it was to get home late this afternoon (4:30pm) and flip on the TV to catch the Travers Stakes at Saratoga Springs. West Coast was one of the favorites and was owned by Omaha's Gary and Mary West former owners of West Marketing who sold out for 4 or 5 billion. Good name for the horse don't you think. West Coast pretty much lead the race wire to wire winning comfortably by a couple of lengths. After the race they were interviewing horse owner Mary West. Wow I remember Mary West when she was a nobody and as broke as most of us....and now shes on national TV worth billions talking about her million dollar race horse.
