Very nice to hear...I am an alum from St. Alberts in Council Bluffs where he went to school and have seen him play a few times.

Very cool story about Iowa Western football.

This is what a JUCO football powerhouse looks like
In its five full seasons, Iowa Western has sent 115 players to various levels of four-year college football, with 51 percent of them going to the highest level.

Year FBS FCS D II D III NAIA Total
2009 4 4 3 1 3 15

I'm curious why Nebraska doesn't try and recruit this school more... or do they?

Jake Waters has a free-agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Don't think he will get any playing time under Russel Wilson but when 2nd string QB Tavaris Jackson recently suffered a severe ankle sprain, it opened the door for Waters to sign.

Jake Waters was cut by Seattle. It is expected that Tavaris Jackson should be ready to play soon.

No. 5 Iowa Western wins seventh straight with defeat of Highland
The bottom line is that IWCC will play in a bowl game in December, a concept that didn’t seem likely after the team’s 1-3 start.

Great accomplishment and a final game that wasn't even close. Heard some talk of this on KFAB this AM too and it was good to see them mention this
For the record  NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER    !!!!!!!

REIVERS GO FOR REPEAT:
Iowa Western football back in NJCAA national title game

A national championship game is a familiar spot for Iowa Western football. The Reivers have made it each of the last two years, including winning it all last year. On Wednesday they’ll make their third appearance in a row and are looking to go back to back… and bring a third NJCAA title to Council Bluffs.

I watched the first half of the game, and it just looked like they were firing on all 8 pretty much from the get go. There were a couple good defensive stops by EM, but it was a lot like last year's Georgia/TCU game, and Iowa Western just ran away with it.

Yep I have been to a couple games. I had a good time. They play home games at Lewis Centrals field. They have a pretty decent tailgate area that seems pretty popular

I was wondering where they played, I didn’t see any campus stadium on google maps.
