Motorplex ready for new season
After a four-month off-season hiatus, the national-level recreational driving facility is open for its fifth straight season starting Friday night.

Though the 1/8-mile Rolling Thunder Drag Strip was designed to handle top of the line racecars and bikes, this evening's event calls for amateurs to "run whatcha brung" to the strip.

Competing in the street race will only cost drivers $20, while spectators pay just $5 to watch. Children 12 and younger get in free.
"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."

Apparently the MAMP is up for auction, the whole property.  Channel 6 tried to run a story, but they had the wrong story...

Had some good times out there shooting and riding my old CBR 600. Hope it comes back in some form. Lots of potential...
