After a four-month off-season hiatus, the national-level recreational driving facility is open for its fifth straight season starting Friday night.
Though the 1/8-mile Rolling Thunder Drag Strip was designed to handle top of the line racecars and bikes, this evening's event calls for amateurs to "run whatcha brung" to the strip.
Competing in the street race will only cost drivers $20, while spectators pay just $5 to watch. Children 12 and younger get in free.
