Sports Hall of Fame Class Announced
The first ten inductees for the new Omaha Sports Hall of Fame are announced, a class rich in all-Americans, Heisman Trophy winners, Olympic greats, national champions, record holders, and civic leaders.
The first to be enshrined in the new hall at the museum are Bob Boozer, Marlin Briscoe, Connie Clausen, Eric Crouch, Bob Gibson, Nile Kinnick, Dave Rimington, Johnny  Rodgers, Gale Sayers and Roger Sayers. The inductees were selected from a ballot listed on the Durham's Web site, and voted on by web visitors. The hall officially opens at the museum on Wednesday, May 23, with a reception and ribbon cutting followed by a special  inaugural banquet highlighting each member of the 2007 class.

officially opens with a cocktail reception and ribbon cutting.
