It calms down really fast. Â It has an "overflow" on the ends so any waves go right off the end and don't bounce off the walls and go back in to the pool.

I attended Sat night. Â There is usually around 5 min or so in between heats. Â During that time they interviewed past olympic swimmers in the crowd. Â The trials started around 6:45 and the races were done around 8:10....with the medal ceremony included it was over by 8:30.Coyote wrote:For those of us that cannot attend but only watch this on NBC:
How long is it between heats/finals?
Does this really all happen in the one hour 8pm time frame?
What happens in between? Music? Videos?...

We will learn more about the process and the finalists this fall, when those cities truly interested respond to a request for proposal, with a decision hoping to be made by May of 2013.

It's a possibility, but not necessarily going to happen. It’s possible that more than one suitor will offer to create an open-air facility in 2016, like the swimming venue for those Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. USA Swimming went that route with Long Beach, Calif., for the 2004 Trials when the Summer Games were in Athens.
