Leach officially fired... Leach truly didn't do anything wrong..  The Jame's (ESPN announcer Craig James was HUGE in the dismantling of the SMU program) family has now officially ruined to Texas programs..

Anybody confirm this conversation as real?  If it is, then my hat's off to Leach.. <<<Edit --- I just got it, a feel really dumb.. this is a knockoff from a movie.. Sorry, but still funny!

A FEW GOOD PIRATES

Gerald Meyers (Tech AD): *Coach Leach, did you order the Code Shed?*
Kent Hance: You *don’t* have to answer that question!
Coach Leach: I’ll answer the question!
[to Meyers]
Coach Leach: You want answers?
Meyers: I think I’m entitled.
Coach Leach: *You want answers?*
Meyers: *I want the truth!*
Coach Leach: *You can’t handle the truth!*
[pauses]
Coach Leach: Son, we live in a world that has sidelines, and those sidelines have to be guarded by pirates with swords. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Meyers? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for James, and you curse the Pirates. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That James’s small shed, while tragic, probably saved games. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves games. You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties with your fat little girlfriends, you want me on those sidelines, you need me on those sidelines. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very bowl games that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a sword, and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to.
Meyers: Did you order the Code Shed?
Coach Leach: I did the job I…
Meyers: *Did you order the Code Shed?*
Coach Leach: *You’re G**damned right I did!*
Texas Tech Coach Leach Suspended….

Was interested to hear Tom Brokaw doing the University of Iowa ad during the game... naturally, I had to google it.
Tom Brokaw dropped out of The University of Iowa, where he says he majored in "beer and co-eds"

Texas was looking great before Colt went out... now it'll be a miracle if they stay within a couple of TD's.

Well, it doesn't help that you're offense is 3 and out'ing every possession as well.

And some how, I don't think the freshman backup QB is going to settle down in the national championship game he's been thrust into, Brad.  Can you imagine Cody Green being placed in this situation?

I am not saying he is, but that's what he needs to do.  I am not a football expert, but to me it seems he is panicking a bit.

I don't care if the best backup in the world came in, if he wasn't planning on playing he would be a bit shaky.  2 extra seconds in football is a lot of time and I think he has that, but he is trying to get the ball out ASAP.  Take a deep breath and make good throw.

If McCoy is leading this offense... I think Texas rolls.  Longhorn defense has shut Alabama down... and how about the two interference non-calls... not like Texas needs anything else going against them.

I think Alabama is just another stepping stone for Saban... he doesn't even look like he wants to be there in the post game.

Any other time I'd complain about that myself, but since it's Texas I'll let it slide.   :thumb:

Consider we 'all but beat' two of those teams... I think we're worthy of #14... and I would be shocked if we weren't pre-season top 10, as some have suggested will be the case.

By the way... highest finish for NU in 8 years.
