Did it break or was it intended like that?  The ball said Sept 10, 2011 Iowa @ Iowa State.  I got the impression the ball is replaced every year...

This makes things suddenly a LOT more interesting/unnerving for Notre Dame as an independent, too.

Interesting tidbit in the wsj coverage re Texas.   Both Pac 12 and ACC have told them that equal sharing of revenue is manatory.   Longhorn TV might get polled if they want to leave the little 12.

Also, interesting what is happening to the bball schools.  KU may be the one that turns out the lights on the little 12.

Official: Potential UT move to Pac-12 ‘heating up’
Austin American-Statesman wrote:The Pac-12 appears to be working out the final details of a deal that would bring Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech to the conference, sources close to the situation told Hookem.com and the American-Statesman on Sunday morning. Nothing has been accepted or approved, yet, but the deal would allow the Longhorns to keep the Longhorn Network.

Things are going to get wild here in a pretty short time.

All it took was one conference to break the 12 team number because no one wanted to be the league that sent CFB into chaos.

I will say it yet again...I couldn't be happier that the Huskers are in the B1G Ten.

Source: Removal of Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe among OU's demands

NewsOK wrote:The University of Oklahoma is considering remaining in the Big 12, but only in a “reformed” version of the conference that includes hard and fast rules for Texas' Longhorn Network and removal of Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe, a high-ranking Big 12 source told The Oklahoman on Tuesday.

Missouri is going to the SEC West - Auburn moving to SEC East.
PAC 12 officials going to meet at the end of the week to see if they want to expand
Big East are officials going to meet tonight to discuss leagues future,
West Virginia denied entrance to ACC.

I assume the SEC will set up protected cross division games like the B1G to keep the Iron Bowl.

The UT, Tech, OU, Ok St. has to be all but a done deal at this point with A&M and Missouri gone.

I have to wonder what the B1G Ten is thinking right now.  It seems like everyone else is on their way to 16 and the B1G has already lost a few of the teams that had been rumored as possible expansion teams to the ACC and SEC.

Too bad they did not have Neinas a few years ago.  Though the conference has not given power to the Commish since the beginning, it did not start with Beebe.

They got out at the right time.  It is going to be tough to leave that league for the other 9 schools that are staying.

This one is official that the Big 12 offered TCU to join.  No word on TCU's response yet though.

I think that's a program on the rise.  ISU would be a tougher opener for the next five years than Iowa.

Iowa State definitely is starting to win big games... they just need to start winning the ones they're supposed to win.

So Brad, I've never been able to figure out where your college football allegiances fall, if there are any.  There seems like a lot of enthusiasm in your response above, are you an ISU fan?  I'm pretty sure you're not an NU fan (or at least of NU fans).

UNO football fan :;):

No, I like Nebraska, but I also had a lot of friends and co-workers that went to ISU.  I spent a lot of time up in Ames back in the late 90's early 2000's so I have always kept an interest in the program.

I don't plan my weekend around NU Football,if I have time I will watch it.  If I am busy, oh well, I have a scoreboard app on my phone.  However we did plan our wedding for a non-Nebraska football weekend.  I would rather be out shooting photos and listening to the NU Game on the radio.

I will also take a CU Basketball or UNO Hockey game over NU football every day of the week.
