One Pacific Place (again)

Condo tower being worked on right now on the commercial portion of the development.  Still early and nothing firm from the existing owners.  Would be a great project and add some density that might help the struggling tenants.

Would they remove an existing building?

Could we start calling it "Two Village Pointe" then?

I heard they were going to demolish the Peter Keiwit Institute for low density housing, a Burger King, and a Wal-Mart.

What is considered the "commercial portion of the development"? Does this mean the retail strip west of 103rd or the office complex east of 103rd?

There is a vacant space south of the Two Pacific Place parking garage... adjacent the pond.

Commercial part, not office part.  Likely would require some demo to the existing strip.

Hmmm. Well this is intriguing.

I think this area is super prime for more residential density. It's close to shopping, the trail system, the interstate, and it's centrally located within the Metro.

This could help the OPP/Westroads area become more feasible for mass transit/light rail in the future.

I wonder how they define "tower".

I don't know if you guys have them out there, but those really do exist here in the hick parts of Illinois.  Most I've seen are painted in camo to better serve the luxury deerstand purpose they're built for, and they're usually not quite that tall either.
