If I go to eomahaforums.com it tells me the site is not avaible.

I googled it, got the link for the rumors page, and it goes right to it.

Any ideas? Whats going on?

I have had the same issue for three weeks now.  I have to google "www.eomahaforums.com login" and then I can get to it.

Don't you think I would have tried that by now...  This is something different.

That happened to me about a year ago.  In fact, there is a LOOONG gap in my posts some time in the past as I stumbled across a link in an Omaha search and clicked on it, realizing I could access it that way.  However, I have had no problem in a long time.

My other problem is I need to hit "refresh" in between every move with in the site.

Google eomahaforums click on link --  error --  refresh -- works fine.
click on urban development -- error --  refresh -- works fine
Click on thread --  error --  refresh  -- works fine
post reply --  error - refresh works fine.

Its completely annoying.

This is an extremely annoying part of this site and has been for a couple of years.  Even if clearing cookies always worked, which is doesn't, it would be the only site I ever have to do that for.  Seems like a pretty ridiculous flaw somewhere.  I guess you get what you pay for but it seems if someone wants the site to be here they would make it work.

For me the site will work ~35% of the time if I'm not logged in, but will work 100% of the time if I am logged in. So I just book marked the login page and click that whenever I want to visit the site.

The only way I have been able to access this site for at least a year or two is from an anonymous proxy. If I try to go to the site directly I get this message...

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

   *   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
         moments.

   *   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
         connection.

   *   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Is my IP banned from here or what?

No - I checked your IP and it was not on the banned list.

Clear your cookies like others have mentioned above.  It works 100% of the time for me but I have to clear the cookies every few months.  I wish this issue would be permanently fixed!!

I was the one who asked that question. I am/was using a web proxy so the IP you got was probably not my true IP address. It's the only way this website will work for me.
